Actually alter ego is actually a terrifying power see although it looks like vegeta's getting his ass kicked. It's not terrifying at all because Vegeta will never finish a villain with it. The only time a new transformation ended someone was Super Saiyan 1 and fusion in a non canon movie and DBS Broly. Every other time the new transformation fails so Goku can save the day alone.

At the time of the wish in the Granolah arc, Goku and Vegeta were the strongest in the universe, and even prior to the U6 tournament for the super dragon balls, they were as well. Broly was obviously weaker than Goku and Vegeta prior to meeting them, that's why he never popped up on anyone's radar. Cus he hadn't tapped into his powers yet. Secondly, the wish only makes you strongest in the Universe of mortals currently existing in it. Which is why Granolah, and Gas weren't stronger than Black Freeza. Third, Moro was by definition "weaker" than Goku and Vegeta in terms of raw power. It's his skills and magic that made him stronger by consuming other life and energy. By consuming Goku and Vegeta's energy and making himself stronger was the only way he was able to become a threat.

There’s arguments to be had about most of these forms. SSJ G2 was always just a stepping stone to SSJ2. SSJ3 is powerful, however the energy strain was just too much for any mortal body (in the buu saga anyway) SSG wasn’t used a whole lot but you have to remember that BoG was Goku’s first use of god ki, so going up against the God of Destruction, he was never gonna win. Goku is still training to fully master UI. And UE is so new and the way the form actually works makes taking a beating a good thing. Anyways thank you for coming to my ted talk

UI makes Goku stronger than Jiren in that particular form. However, it was a team effort in the end since Goku’s body could not maintain that transformation at that particular time.

Dragon Ball has made it pretty clear since it’s inception it’s mainly about Goku. I’m not sure why everyone is surprised for a series that’s been around longer than most of us have been alive. Even when they tried to pass it off to Gohan, the fans rejected it so bad, they had to make a decision on the fly to get rid of that direction and go with Goku. Why do you think the whole Buu arc was so wonky, at least the beginning when it was so Gohan focused? They had to make a change mid-play because everyone at the time was like, this ain’t it 😂 Anytime Gohan does have a glow up, he goes back to his lame “I’ve forgotten to use my powers” thing. Then we have to see Piccolo basically die for something to happen again. Yeahhhh, I’ve been over Gohan for a long time. Vegeta being the main guy and overtaking Goku won’t go well, either. History just repeats itself.
