It seems that they are trained to think that anyone who doesn't follow their orders is commiting obstruction. In the military, we call it not following unlawful orders. We are protected from doing so. It's sad when the dangerous idea of having military be police seems to be the better option (my one exception to this would be replacing SWAT with a specialy trained National Guard rate with a civilian who can give the oder to go in or retreat and nothing more removing civilians from the SWAT role).

Woman was definitely injured, had head trauma, possible neck injury, speech slurred and breathing changed after she was slammed to the pavement multiple times. This may cause permanent neurological damage, horrific neck pain, and even loss of life if left untreated. Brain can swell and this can be lethal. Cerebrospinal fluid may leak and cause nasty or deadly infection in that fluid. It's horrific damage, and woman was definitely injured, even if the trauma doesn't leave permanent damage. E: I'd say that the police borderline murdered this woman.

My ex who was a cop used to call in welfare checks if I didn't answer his texts fast enough AFTER we'd already broken up. No, the lengths cops will go to maintain control is crazy. In fact, I was rather certain he was trying to set it up so if he murdered me the cops would write it off as a suicide. He used the whole dept to stalk me thus I can only assume he told everyone I was severely depressed. He then illegally pulled records of all my family and friends and showed up at my new bfs house even though I'd left my car and phone at home. He then proceeded to say in his best cop voice that we were dating and I was cheating on him. No, thank God my bf decided to believe me and owned his own business and wasn't the kind of guy cops liked fucking with. If not, I fear the guy would have kept harassing me forever. No, the bastard freely admit to cheating on me and being in another relationship when we broke up ten times and yet, he couldn't handle the idea of me moving on. No, I distrust cops and have spent my time learning the law for a very good reason. Police culture is terrible and far too many of them only want the job so they can violate the law.

However in this case, the police were fully aware that he was inside, because she had admitted that, and with blood being present on her hands/dress, him not speaking at all would give the police grounds to suspect he was seriously hurt to the point of being unconscious or physically unable to speak (perhaps even restrained). Clearly and calmly speaking to them throws out the legal basis for those grounds, and for any further action (such as breaking down the door).

Exigent circumstances would also allow them to enter without a warrant. An example of those would be to insure the safety of others and the police, or to prevent the destruction of evidence. Neither of those examples were present in this case. The police would have to state the fact they have a warrant and they must present it to the homeowner or arrestee. Police are trained to use certain words. In this case NEED was used which sounds like a command but it certainly is NOT a command or a lawful order. They would need a search warrant to enter the house in this case in order to enter the house. That's the way the law works but that doesn't mean the judge or jury will see it the same way. Time will tell.

Police came to my house after my husband called and were told by him that I had taken down a picture he had put on the wall. I was so embarrassed when one officer took me outside and another officer stayed inside with my then husband. I was like , I never touched that picture , he called the police for that? I asked if I could turn off my porch light because of the embarrassment. So, he proceeded to talk to me and said, don’t worry, you’re not in trouble for anything. Of course I wasn’t. Picture turned up behind the couch. Bad thing is, the policeman called me next day to see if I wanted to go on a date with him! He’d show up when I’d take my daughter walking to school. I flatly said no. He kept calling me till I threatened to call the police on him. Turns out his daughter and my daughter went to the school and were friends! After the threat, he left me alone. Not all cops are bad. I believe in the justice system,some police are just insane!

It also looked like when he took her down the first time at the house, her head hit the wall. The other two take downs on the ground, she def seemed to have a concussion and was passed out. Three hits to the head and he didn't call ems until after the third time when she was very clearly knocked out (I believe she may have been knocked out briefly after the first take down by the car based on the way she was talking). Do you happen to know if she was tested for alcohol? Seemed to be an excuse to justify bad and/or behavior. Glad that cop was fired.

I married a deputy sheriff, and he's a complete psycho !! He built Lows HOME Improvement on the side. Example, my sister was in a horrible accident, flipping her car, and nocked out for 6 hours. The hospital didn't do a CT with a huge bump on her head. l go to take her in after she called with a weird headache like she could feel something. Still no CT !! Take her home, layed her down, made her some food hung out for 2 hrs. And she's like me doesn't part do drugs !! Got home at 9:30 pm to find all my pictures of MY CHILDREN EVERYTHING OFF MY DRESSERS MY JEWELRY GONE. 9 YRS OF MARRAGE !! He wrote on the mirror to leave the debit card so l have no money. Blocked my motorcycle and my car so l couldn't leave and said l was fkn around but I haven't been to a bar in 8 yrs and it was with him and l had a Baleys coffee !! He Said l would've been ok if l wrote have been home by 9pm !! NO JOKE !! He said she couldn't have had a weird headache for the first time in her life. She died driving out of her driveway 2 days later !! He's a drunk and continued to say she didn't have a weird headache but she died from it. I'm a Christian and l know it's wrong, and l can't pray he doesn't ask for forgiveness before he dies !! BUT I DO !! I don't live with him thank God !! But he controls everything. All our assets. Wouldn't give me money for food, and said if l get hungry l can come over there. He goes to Costco were l worked for 18 yrs and he buys $700- $800 just on lobsters and king crab shrimp...!! Bringing I get $300 a month for food !! He brings home $17 THOUSAND a month. I lost my entire family, parents and 3 siblings in 19 months when l lived with that horrible person.
