Felt very much like that in stadium as well. Nobi was a fan favorite, so when the favorite is losing, the energy is kind of 'weird'. You are watching masterful game play, but there is not a lot of cheering for it, because it's not the outcome a lot of the crowd wanted... As a neutral party, I felt a bit bad for ATIF in most of his fights. He came into Finals Like A Man Possessed and in general didn't get the energy and love his play warranted, imo He made a great showing for himself, all the way to the end.

@@GamesSLACtrue, a player really desire appreciation from crowd, I don't know why Pakistani players are not appreciated that much... They play good tekken and ot is very hard in Pakistan to opt a professional gamer career. People need to be supportive to all players.

There is a part you are not understanding. Noone is saying 'I won't root for Pakistani player'. People love good gameplay, and will root for it. It speaks much louder than the player themselves, and SO much louder than what country the player is from, for fans. But when a tourney is in the USA, people are going to root HARD for USA players, and will not root nearly as hard for players from other countries. It's not a dislike of players from ANY country, though, *_it's associative._* They are not showing bias to a player's nationality, or even to the player themselves, most of the time. The average fan is showing bias to THEMSELVES. *_Associative_* meaning: people watching this want to picture that it's THEM who are up there, handling the pressure, playing great and WOWING the crowd. So if they are from the USA, they find it easier to associate the play of another American player to THEMSELVES doing it, not because they like that player more, but because it is easier for that fan to associate a USA player's success with their own imagined success in the same role.

By the way, the stadium was at capacity. They couldn't let anymore people inside. It was still silent like this. Very strange moment when the crowd is almost literally silenced by a player.

Yes. In our group of 3, one of us who didn't get into the stadium early, NEVER GOT TO. Poor Shawn, lol. He ended up hanging at the Maximilian Dood watch party though. That eventually got something like the Arena attendance. I've watched his EVO video... his crowd swelled to thousands, even OUTSIDE the arena.
