Lower ride height, bigger wheels, stiffer suspension, throaty exhaust, snazzy paint, a boot spoiler, twin exhaust tips, blacked out roof, and a spoiler. Should be near about enough for the Slavia 1.5 give off OG RS feels.

The funny thing is that the old Octavia never gave us a problem with the speed breakers despite being so low. I remember we had the city and the Octavia and the city was giving us heartbreak at everyone, while in the Octavia I used to just run over the breakers without any issues. The mileage that the Octavia gave was phenomenal despite it being such a big car. Some things that you will never get in new Skodas or new Sedans is the tough built as with my old Octavia, just opening the bonnet was an exercise as it was so heavy built. Cars getting much lighter now, power increasing, and transmission getting faster all the time yet the numbers are not that impressive and even the mileage is not impressive as I won't be shocked if the old non VRS Octavia gave the same mileage as this Slavia

For me the Octavia was always the car which ended opel Astra in India because after octavia arrived in 2001-02 it took the title of poor man's Mercedes from Astra . That 1.9Turbo diesel was the most sought after octavia actually because Astra or any other midsized sedan for that matter didn't give performance and mileage like that engine . The 1.8TSI was a sales flop because people were not ready for that kind of performance as such hence people were buying Toyota corolla, Hyundai Elantra, Accords and Camry back then as the 1.8TSI wasn't fuel efficient like NA petrol engine counterparts But all this changed somehow with the arrival of VRS octavia in 2004 that really sold well because as we know Skoda made it completely into a budget Sports sedan for real unlike others with stickers ,rear spoiler and side skirts . I still see the same yellow colour skoda Octavia VRS in my hometown in Mumbai. Still looks better than most sedans out there❤🔥😎🙌.I wish skoda gave Slavia Rear disc brakes 😕 for 1.5TSI. I hope Virtus gets it in GT line 🙏. You will be more happy in the Virtus GT line for sure as it has almost everything that can make it different from 1.0TSI variant.

Slavia 1.5 isn't as sporty of a car as was the VRS back in the day. It's 2022 and we still don't have a sportier version of the Slavia that can bring justice to the VRS. Heck even Tata souped up their JTP Tiago and we have such a eager 1.5 in Slavia that's planted in like it is a vanilla executive sedan; killing the whole point of 1.5 TSI in there. Rework, Skoda.
