I bet your issue is that you lack oxes. Every time you hover over a sawpit it has 0 stored logs. Just look at the oxes walking to see if they either can't handle the throughput or they idle somewhere. I actually saw it go deep in the forest to bring a felled tree. So you might rly need more oxes. That or put the sawpit deep in the forest.
