You’d think Shaun and Rebecca would be cautious after what Clay left for Desmond to find in II and Brotherhood, and Layla after the way Egyptian gods appeared on the overworld map when she was in Bayek’s memories.

Man I remember the days when we all thought Desmond going and learning everything through Altair, Ezio, and Connor. Then we were gonna get a modern day assasins creed with Desmond. Then they kill Desmond.. Man ubisoft really dropped the ball with that one. Would have been really cool

@@hawken796 your misinformed badly. One of the only reasons assassin's creed fans were hype for origins sequel before we learned it was odyssey, was because the modern day was back properly. It isn't assassin's creed without it. New fans dont like modern day, but new fans dont really like assassin's creed either. They just like historical open worlds. The ezio fans used to complain because desmond was more important than ezio, but even that only started because brotherhood gained alot of new fans, who believed Ezio to be the protagonist, when fans who played AC1 and AC2 knew Desmond was the true protagonist, and that the true AC3, wouldn't feature ezio at all.

Actually in ac3 is just like ac brotherhood, you can freely enter and exit the animus, unless you complete the main story because desmond is dead

I find it a bit weird that AC2 doesn't allow you to exit the animus freely because the previous game allowed you to exit at any time. I think that they didn't add this in is because to my knowledge, the only thing you can do is talk to the other assassins in the loft and that is all apart from exploring the warehouse. I can understand the option to exit in Desmond's other games because in Brotherhood, you could look for the 5 artifacts and check email, Revelations includes the 5 different levels as Desmond, and 3 allows you to plug in the batteries, check email, and replay missions. I think Ubisoft didn't let you exit in 2 because of how barebones the present day content is.

Same on Brotherhood. Since you can free roam the Villa in modern day. In Revelations sucks because Desmond is stuck in the Animus Island and there's nothing to do there. But there's another another memory room to see Desmond's Journey we can access if we collected some fragments object in the game

I don’t really like how you can’t exit the animus after the story in AC 3. I quite enjoy playing the present day missions and it is sad that you can’t access them after The end of the game. They could’ve put the option “exit animus” when you are replaying a main story mission.

For Unity and Syndicate it’s not even using an Animus, but rather a portable VR version of the technology called Helix that Abstergo in-universe distributed.

In Unity and Syndicate, as an unknown (Abstergo employee again?) who you can control In Origins to Valhalla, as Layla and (spoilers) Basim
