Tracking down Kyogre to the Cave of Origins where there was no music, just the creature itself was the most craziest thing at the time for me. I remember my heart starting to race when the Blue Orb activated itself, the fog lifting from the room and Kyogre slowly approaching me to engage in battle. As a 7 year old I thought not defeating it would truly end up with Hoenn underwater so what I did was end that shit by throwing the Master Ball immediately lmao

The battle in his introductory game (and Groudons) was revolutionary for handheld systems at the time. It would topped by Emerald a couple years later, but for the time, you felt intimidated by this ancient whale staring you down, with the potential to wipe you out.

Kyogre's fight in Alpha Sapphire really did feel like the pinnacle of my Pokémon career at the time when I was a kid. The fight itself and everything leading up to it was fantastic. Also, are we not gonna talk about those 4 in a row sheer colds in Emerald?

The very first time I fought Kyogre in Alpha Sapphire sent goosebumps and chills down my entire body. Everything about the encounter was so well done. From the music to the transformation sequence, I loved every second of it.

Kyogre is my favorite out of the 3 main ones in Hoenn. Just a beautiful ancient whale and I’m glad they modified its cry in Alpha Sapphire moving forward. Also... those multiple Sheer Cold hits would of made me give up 🥶

AS’s complete twist from SE was insane. From using the blue orb to protect yourself to using the red orb. Seeing its primal reversion had me nervous. Aqua ring and origin pulse was horrible, but I still ultra ball caught it

Kyogre... the master of the ocean. The Pokemon can cause heavy rainfalls. In its primal forme, its the only one of its trio who is not dual types. It went to slept after fighting with Groudon

Groudon is pure ground type. It gains its fire typing when it undergoes Primal Reversion.

Groudon and Rayquaza are the only one who benefit when going primal/mega. Kyogre being a water type is already resistant against 🔥

When going Primal, Groudon eliminates its 4x weakness to water with Desolate Land. Meaning that the only Super-Effective typing against it is ground itself. Mega Rayquaza, however, has the ability Delta Stream. This removes all weaknesses to all flying types and makes them neutral effective. In the original Ruby and Sapphire games, Kyogre would be better. But Groudon’s Primal Reversion makes it an equal battle (if Groudon doesn’t have Solar Beam) overall.

I love kyogre and its primal reversion form.Both Kyogre appears in Pokémon Anime from Advanced Generation to Sun and Moon Ultra Adventure The series use Sheer Cold when rescued Ash and friends from danger. My opinion Kyogre can create heavy rainfall for creating more sea for Water-type pokémon habitats🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
