The fact that they kept so many songs so close to the originals for so many years is what makes the pokemon community one of the best gaming communities out there. FR, only giving Pikachu the voice of the series is such a weird move. In Pokémon yellow it kind of made sense, since you play as Ash with his special Pikachu whom he has a special bond with that allows him to understand it, while wild Pikachu you meet are just making noises. But all Pikachu being able to say their name, while all other Pokémon including it's evolution can't, makes it stick out like a sore thumb. Gamefreak should either make the (admittedly bold) evolutionary step to have all Pokémon vocalize their names like in the anime series or stick with the 'random noise' Pokémon cries for nostalgia's sake and give Pikachu its old cry back for consistency. Given how much they changed the sound of the Pokémon cries in Gen VI, I'm honestly puzzled why while they were add it they didn't mix a subtle vocoder saying the Pokémon's name into the noisy cries. Shurely it would be doable (I know It'd be quite some effort to fit each name in each language into the melody of the corresponding Pokémon cry, but it would be really cool!)

In USUM you can evolve Pikachu into normal Raichu if you're in Ultra Space. This is also the case for the other Pokémon who have Alolan forms. This is because Ultra Space isn't considered part of Alola.
