Agreed. He can make a boss battle as tough as the Death Egg Robot, or as easy as the Lava Reef Zone boss. Games like Sonic Adventure 2 or even Sonic Generations showed him to be actually be a genius while games like Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic CD made him look like a moron.

Yeah when Forces was announced, the game was gonna be made by the team that Colors and Generations but it turns out that in the credits, they were made by people who haven't clearly played Sonic games and haven't made these games actually which is so bizarre. To be honest, the last good Sonic game was either Colors or Generations but Forces was so terrible with the gameplay being boring, narrative wasn't interesting enough, the levels were so short, very lazy with some boss fights, the beginning was just too quick to start the attack and Sonic's sacrifice, no drifting, the customized character was such a horrible decision to play out with the story, Classic Sonic's involvement, the challenges and how the game plays out is such a waste. To be fair, Sonic Unleashed is probably my favourite Modern 3D Sonic game in the franchise but Sonic the hedgehog classic games are my favourite 2D Sonic games out there. That's the kind of Sonic game I want with it being Open World with exploring it's environment and intricate landscapes from across the areas but it's in good hands cause it's directed by a Sonic comics writer which is so amazing as he does all the hardcore stuff with the Sonic fanbase and the creativity behind it. I think Sonic Frontiers will be as good as the other Sonic games like Unleashed, Heroes, Adventures 1+2, Colors and Generations with the story, it's characters, it's environment, level design and others included.

Not to throw shade on the people complaining as I am partly one of them. I understand them and they just want that feeling we had like when we Slayed the Biolizard with shadow, and Get slapped in the Final Hazard by Crush 40 Live and Learn. This is a cool showcase but there are some incorrect entries for the genesis Era games. The final zone in S3&K is doomsday zone which has super sonic flying through space fighting an escaping robotnik. Also there is a secret final zone for sonic 3d blast when you get all the chaos emeralds that's basically a boss rush

The basic kit of characters changes depending on which paring you go with, like if you pick Tails partner with Sonic, you can fly like in the old games, but if you pair Tails with Knuckles, you fly forwards with a boxing glove instead of flying up, that's one of the many examples, it's a really interesting game mechanic
