Kinda, but not really. Dixie existed before Tiny, so it sort of seemed that Tiny was the "replacement" for a while, (People wondered why they created a similar new character for DK64 instead of using Dixie again) but Dixie's been used more often in recent games. Their excuse for the similarity is "They're siblings." :)

That makes sense. :) My cousin and I had our own headcanon that Diddy/Dixie were siblings when we didn't know any better. The thing is, we use to role play as them when we were kids because we were weirdos. Imagine when we found out they were dating! XD Anyway, I like both characters. No Dixie is more prominent to the DK lore. She Co-starred in DK country 2 and starred as the main character in DK country 3. Besides the exception of DK64 she has been in every Donkey Kong game ever since.
