Well, this isn’t a convincing rebuttal against evolution. I’m not sure how this would open the ears and minds of anyone who follows empirical evidence. Dr Hublin clearly elucidates the successive progression of evolutionary biology during the interview, but Answers in Genesis had to misrepresent his words in order to bolster the clickbait in their title.

Anymore, I just roll my eyes when I hear what passes as science today. I can't believe how incredibly selfish people have become. The ancient people had it much worse than we do now. Goodness, we're such cowards. Women frequently died in childbirth and now that has decreased. Children often didn’t survive into adulthood either. People used to have numerous children because they were considered a blessing and parents wanted their progeny to survive. With our medical advances, more people should be having children. My husband and I couldn't have them due to health problems. Though I'm in my 60s, my heart still aches at times at the loss of what I will never know. I'm too old now. It's aggravating and disgraceful that people want to destroy a tiny human life when they are so precious.

"Liberal" ideology is rooted in selfishness; an aversion to accountability and responsibility. What brought about the changes in longevity? It was the introduction of sanitation and sanitary systems like indoors plumbing and running water, garbage/trash collection, and city wide enforcement of cleanliness. (Hygiene)This is the REAL cause of a longer life. Better surgical methods and inventions have also contributed to longer life. BUT the longer life in very many cases is full of limitations, pain, suffering and disabilities. Envision the nursing home.😢 However, what is a mere !00+years which only a FEW people enjoy today compared to the hundreds of years in the early years of the human race? The longest living recorded human lived an incredible 969 years. His name was Methuesela. The worldwide flood came the year of his death as his name means. Review the story of the worldwide flood in Genesis.

I love the work you do, and the free-flow way you explain complex science. I got the book TRACED when it first came out. This book absolutely blew my mind. It traces human beings from the beginning, showing how the different "races" came to be. Extremely well written, it is understandable by a non-scientist while retaining scientific integrity. My feeling, when talking in a public forum, is that my primary focus is communicating and I can't do that if I don't speak clearly enough. Speed of talking also affects whether the hearers are able to absorb what you're saying. Plus of course there are going to be people for whom English is a second language and they may get very little from a fast talker.

Your question is a little confusing. In the original creation, man (humanity) was able to live for a very long time. If man ate the tree of life, then He would have eternal life. But since man chose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, man was cast out of Eden, not just as a punishment, but to prevent him from eating the tree of life and obtaining eternal life in a corruptible state. Only God can give eternal life, and while we might improve our life spans and hopefully quality of life, at the end, as long as we remain in our body of corruption, we shall surely die. Only in Christ, who is the tree of life, can we live and have eternal life.

I feel like one of my main spiritual arguements for why a fetus is a human is because it has a soul, which is what I think is a definition of personhood. I'm not Dr. Purdom, but I can offer this explanation. Genesis says that God formed Adam from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living soul. It isn't that we "have" a soul inside us as a separate thingy, but we "are" a soul. It's just the totality of who you are. Your personality and character and emotions are all a part of it. So both twins have a body, and the breath of life, so they are both living souls.

Well, they share similarities because they have a common ancestor. Ideally we should say "humans and _other_ apes", because humans are higher ape species. I appreciate that this may not sound particularly flattering to the human species, but it needn't be viewed that way: you could say that our common ancestral link elevates the other primates, rather than abasing man; or that all are equal in the eyes of God. @@firmbeliever3847 No, it's definitely not youtube as far as I can tell. I've got many other youtube channels open and they all sound fine. Unless what you're telling me is that youtuve is actively doing things to sabotage Christian/Creationist channels - which would simply confirm what I already suspect. I suspect that they are locking out or reducing the Christian / Creationist channels from the algorithm - or at least giving them far less exposure compared to those they view as neutral. Just my feelings on this.

I forgive myself every day for believing wrong. I have yet to hear of anyone forgiving themselves for believing and predicting that the world would end in their lifetime. I believe wrong when I think my life matters to those pretending to be the most moral among us. They have no regard for any life, because there’s honor in having others believe God not only has the will, but also the duty to destroy the world. With zero consideration for everyone and everything that would and could have been after that ‘glorious’ day. Essentially, if there had been no God.

Why would they evolve to do something that they don't need to do? That's like saying evolving is false since a tropical animal didn't evolve to have a massive fur coat like an arctic animal. @@zacmayes2802 by your logic bats can’t exist: a hypothetical mammal ancestor to the bat who long finger bones, over eons of time, over additional eons of time a skin web developed between the long finger bones, meanwhile, the bat developed an echo, location faculty for navigating in the dark while simultaneously developing a metabolism capable of the sustained, energetic action of flapping these long finger bones. At no point along this hypothetical trajectory of evolution, would that mammal need long finger bones, skin between them, a heightened metabolism, because the creature cannot anticipate future needs, and these features are not necessary for its immediate survival. Logic must be applied evenly; it’s not a tool you can pick up and use when you want it and discard it when you don’t.
