Vince - You need to read the whole chapter and not cherry pick verses out of context. The entire chapter is talking about their Messiah coming, Jesus. You don't know that Jesus came and they rejected Him? You need to read Lev 26, Deut 27, 28 and see where God gives Israel warnings about the blessings and cursings. If they reject Him, they get cursings. They have. You cannot reject the plan of salvation and think God will help you. Jesus destroyed their temple and cities in AD 70. They've had no priests for 2,000 years. Now they want to rebuild it without Christ? You're going to see God destroy them more completely if they do not accept their Messiah and repent. I think God will destroy that entire land soon by earthquake and no one will have it. It will be a big one tho. It will be scary for everyone.

I'm an atheist and I personally know plenty of other atheists and none of which support Hamas. I know of a few who is disgusted by Hamas but not happy with what Israel is doing either.

Yeah, I've found most atheists have no problem condemning Hamas and Islam, because they're willing to criticize all religions. The people defending Hamas are mostly tribal leftists who value politics above everything else and are likely closer to being New Agers than atheists. A lot of them are just Muslim as well.

I'm a Christian and have to say it looks like Palestine was about to be completely forgotten or eliminated, until Hamas did what it had a legal right to do, in order to protect it's civilian population. Or, it was wanted, and they gave back more than was anticipated. I do not condemn Hamas because they are not targeting innocent civilians but rather, going after military assets. They do not believe they are more than human and others are less, and there is no evidence of the heinous crimes that the ones they are at war with have been accusing them of committing. Propaganda is always to demonize "the enemy"... in this case it's innocent non-combatants, which is an abomination to God!

It's difficult not to see Zechariah chapters 9 to 14 at play in modern day Israel. I despair that some professing Christians are hostile to Jews when Paul wished he could be cut off for the sake of his countrymen and Jesus wept over Jerusalem. It's also clear that Arabs never tried to establish a nation in Israel in all the centuries they had control over it. God gave the land to the physical descendants of Israel "forever", for "all time" and as an "everlasting covenant" (Exodus 32:13, Deuteronomy 4:40, Psalm 105:10-11). There is no question who the land belongs to according to scripture and it's not the Arabs. We should pray for peace while also knowing that "there is a time for war."

Wrong. First of all, the occupation of the land was conditional upon obedience. They disobeyed. God kicked them out. If you want to take a hard line about God promising them to have the land forever then you're calling him a liar because for over a thousand years they did not possess the land. Also, if you're trying to be overly technical about promises in the first 5 books of the Bible, at the end of Joshua, it says God fulfilled all his promises already. "Not one word of all the good promises that Yahweh had made to the house of Israel had failed. All came to pass." Second, Paul says that not all who are Israel are Israel. What could they mean? He's definitely saying not all who are physical descendents are spiritual descendents. Jesus says much the same to the pharisees. So when Paul says Israel he doesn't always mean physical. Paul also tells us there is no distinction between Jew and gentile anymore. In fact, it sounds like some jews were upset because they no longer were, according to the apostles, a special set aside group as a nation. The "true Israel" is and always has been God's people. In the old testament that was physical Israel and in the new testament that is the church. Not a specific location or building, but those who come together to worship Jesus. There are tons of old testament verses that hint at this switch away from ethnic predominance. As one example, in hosea God says that Israel will be called "not my people" and those were weren't his people will be called his people. From the new testament we see that Palestine isn't the goal too. Paul says that the patriarchs looked not to the land they had in the middle east but to their heavenly home. One day Jesus will return and renew the world. His people will rule the whole earth, not just a tiny bit of land by the Mediterranean. And the earth will be as Adam was supposed to make it when God commanded him to rule and have dominion over the earth in the first place.

You cannot reject Jesus and think you'll be saved. The only thing, ONLY, we're waiting for is the Resurrection of the Dead on the last day. Mt 13 (harvest, end of the world) Jn 5 and 6, 11 and 12 (THE last day) The time comes, and even now is, when ALL that are in the graves shall hear the voice of the Son of Man..... Jesus said "I am the Resurrection". Not half, not some but ALL shall hear it and raise to corruption or incorruption. On the LAST day. One event, 2 destinations. Be ready people. It happens as a thief in the night. No warnings for that day.

Besides God already knew and clearly predicted when he gave Israel the land that they would be unfaithful and that he would exile them and then bring them back. That is very clear from Deuteronomy 31 verses 16 to 20. God knows the future with certainty. Just because they were repeatedly exiled does not mean that the promise to give them the land "for all time" was retracted or revoked. God is faithful. Furthermore, if God can go back on a promise he made to Israel, what confidence can believers have that he won't break his covenant with us? Let's look at the verses to see how crystal clear and unequivocal they are.. Exodus 32:13 "Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, to whom You swore by Your very self when You declared, ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give your descendants all this land that I have promised, and it shall be their inheritance forever.’ ” Note that the promise was not only to Abraham, but also to Isaac and Israel. It is the descendants of Israel that are given the land as "their inheritance forever." Note in Deuteronomy 4 the promise to exile the Israelites for disobedience is mentioned BEFORE the clear assurance that God is giving them the land for all time: 27 Then the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and only a few of you will survive among the nations to which the LORD will drive you. 28 And there you will serve man-made gods of wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or eat or smell. 29 But if from there you will seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the LORD your God and listen to His voice. 31 For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers, which He swore to them by oath. They will be punished but God will not destroy them completely or forget his covenant with their forefathers. And in verse 40 40 "Keep His statutes and commandments, which I am giving you today, so that you and your children after you may prosper, and that you may live long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for all time." If the promise can be forfeited and in fact WAS going to be forfeited then why would God lie and say they were getting the land "for all time" if he knew he could not forgive their disobedience of sins which he already knew and predicted they were going to commit? As I said he knows the future and history is his story. God is sovereign and he is faithful. Psalm 105:10 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: 11“I will give you the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.” "Everlasting covenant", but you are saying it can be broken? It would cease to be an everlasting covenant then would it?

I think I understand what you are saying, but be cautious giving Satan more power than he actually has- God is sovereign and everything is working out in accordance with His (hidden) will. Although Satan and the demons try hard to oppose Christ's followers and influence others away from a saving relationship with Christ, God is still in control and neither Satan nor the demons can do anything unless God allows it. Jesus knows those who are His, and He will save all His Elect regardless of what the enemy does. God created a special race of people, so that his plan for salvation could come to fruition through the coming of the Messiah. So all world events before Jesus, worked according to God's will toward this goal. Not terrifying, reassuring. God has a plan for this world and always has. He told us about it through his prophets. A Messiah would come that would save the world. Everything worked towards that momentous event, which was the birth of Jesus. Scripture is very plain in letting us know, that the complete fulfilment of God's plan will happen with the return of Christ to judge the living and dead. Therefore, as before, all things are working toward this momentous event, because God's word never returns unfulfilled. Therefore, despite how bad the world will get, we can know without a shadow of a doubt, that God's plan will not be foiled and things will happen according to his will. It's already happened once this way, no reason why God won't do the same again.

I am an atheist and a leftist. Many of my friends are the same. I started a support group for fellow ex-Christians going through that very painful deconversion. We listen to a lot of atheist thinkers together. None of us have ever come across an atheist who supports Hamas. Atheists are often frustrated with Christian fundamentalists. We generally think Islamic fundamentalists are much more problematic. I haven’t watched this video so I am just responding to the title. (I’m hoping you can give me grace for that as I’m sure you can relate to the feelings of when you are called evil)

A few years ago, I would have wholeheartedly agreed, after researching the foundation of the modern state of Israel, I'm not at all convinced that it is GOD 's will, but rather nefarious political contrivances that formed the country of Israel. Honestly, I have spoken to Israeli Christians who have moved to America seeking asylum and have heard how badly Christians are persecuted in Israel today, I am no longer an ardent supporter of the state of Israel.
