All good things come to an end, and that includes our ownership of the F56 Mini Cooper S, a car loved by all here at Evolve.
With development complete and space at a premium, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided our time with the car is over, so that something new can take its place.
This car seriously impressed us with how fun it was to drive, and how easy it was to eat miles when travelling.

The Giulietta QV is a cracking little car. The 1750cc turbo is a sweet engine too. They can produce over 300bhp without much effort being that they have forged internals. Plus brembos, a decent chassis and that gorgeous Italian shell

Hi , do you have any knowledge If the R56 turbo and manifold would fit on the non turbo R56 1600 engine? Or would you rather go manifold and GT35 on that for a project or would that cause limp modes?

I wonder can F56 cooper s LCI could going stage 1. because of the limit of the gearbox had changed to 7dct300, the maximum of torque was limited under 300nm. Is there any solutions work out?

Did you install spacers on the car? My F56 Cooper S is wearing original 18" JCW wheels, 25mm Eibach lowering springs, the rear wheels sit really far "under" the car and it doesn't look that good... I'm considering installing Trak+ 20mm in the rear and 15mm in the front. What do you think?

We did not no, the ECU can adapt for the extra cold air it is getting.

I am curious about the part where you talk about tyres that come from the factory. What do you think about Dunlop SportMaxx RT2? I run them currently on my A3 8V (2.0 TDI, 184 HP), but I might replace them if there are much better options out there, for similar pricing... P.S. Great channel, nothing but quality content!

We pretty much just go straight for the Michelin option, so PS4S on most and PS4 on this as they don’t offer a 4S.

Mistake on our part, all our other cars run PS4S, this has the regular PS4, still a brilliant tyre.

A few questions from a F56 S owner looking to tweet a little: Did you change intercooler for larger unit (if not why) Flashing ECU, is it visible if serviced by mini? Or would it need to be flashed back and reloaded for servicing. How bad is the torque steer .... is it still usable / fun or is the new diff a must Thanks for the tuning and videos..... good luck with next project

We didn't get around to changing the intercooler. For road use the stock one was ok at this power level. If we did more track work would have been good to do it. If we still have the car in a few weeks we may put one on just to see what it does. Torque steer is large but managable BUT the diff makes this car.

We’re a similar age you and I so you must have a soft spot for the e36 and cross with a modern engine if I had your means i would build a v8 or v10 as a keeper

Assume from the budget you're thinking non-BMW.. In which case, you can pick up a Yaris GRMN for a tad under £20k on AT right now. Rare, potential for mega power to weight and presumably plenty tune-able with some R&D!

On a B road I prefer our MCS over my M2. Do mull a LSD for it like I did on my E82 135i. My 135i was better on a B road than my M2.

Is it the camera views or are they actually not that wide, the majority of videos I see that are in Europe(mostly British countries) look like the roads are very skinny, looks stressful to drive so precise :)

Modified cars usually take longer to sell, we’re offering it as is for a few weeks but will then start to return to standard as a Stage 1 car with the paintwork done is much more desire-able than its current spec to most people.

6:08 Sad to say but the post 2017 Mini Cooper S has lost all it's personality. No over run, so quiet from factory that the manual is almost impossible to drive and if it you get a post 2022, it's even quieter and doesn't even come with a manual and don't even get me started on the vegan option cars.
