I just started business school being a husband with two kids and a full-time job myself. Having a strong support system around you is key. You have an understanding and supportive wife which is a huge blessing and marker for success. Best wishes to you and yours!

It's great to see people like you guys sharing this subject plain and clear that there are a lot of chalenges and insecurities, but a lot hope in a better future and lots of confort to rely on. Thank you and best wishes.

Can't thank the algorithm enough for this video. Could you make a video of how you balance their attachment style and medical school? The only thing keeping me from pursing medical school is the fear of losing my partner through lack of time that will lead to them feel neglected (date nights, intimacy etc.). My partner has an anxious attachment style but with a full medical school plate, I worry that I won't be able to carve out enough time for them. Thanks!
@EvolvingMedic10 ай бұрын
I’m so happy you found this video too! I’m not too familiar with attachment types, but I could look into it! I think if you and your partner come into medical school with a plan and the right expectations, you guys will succeed. I think Madison and I will do more videos like this to share more strategies that we’ve used to make it.

I would like to know more about the away rotations, is that mandatory? Why would someone do an away rotation?
@EvolvingMedic8 ай бұрын
They are essentially mandatory for the more competitive specialties (eg, all the surgical ones). You do these because it increases your chances at matching at your top choice programs and gives you the opportunity to experience different programs throughout the country.

We have a 2.5 year old. We try to keep certain time sacred, like dinner together as a family. Consistency can be tough when my schedule isn’t consistent lol, but I just try to make sure the time I do have I’m 100 percent present. So the quality of the time spent is always high
