Those "fresh" Generals are powerful to put it mildly. I agree with you in using what a player owns. This game is about spending things wisely and knowing when to move on to another aspect. I have chatted with Allies about this, they own decent Generals...shoit I just got attacked by someone from my own Server. Lag issues again. Man that hurts. Going to take me a long time to recover from that one. Have to think of something fruitful to message to them. They believe that zeroing out unbubbled players limits the points opponents earn. Never mind that neither of us got any points either.

I'm using tran as of now I'm k31 I have him set up with the wonder 1 dragon siege machine range bonus siege machine attack and ground troop speed. I have him fully cultivated over the 500 cap 504 defense 505 attack but he's only level 30 cause that's my monarch lvl at the moment. Also dragon equipment he's like 2.8 mill power

Dome on 1096, I like the Leonidas as the main with Petronas as my assistant. The combo has worked quite well. I'm working on meat layers, I'm using 10 million T1 troops all tiers, cavalry I'm building for 40 million and T5 seiges for 10 million. Does this sound about right? It's been working very well for our battlefields. I appreciate the videos man!

I think those are good books, I have Horse Hp, siege attack, ground speed, but I keep switching back and forth between HP and archer bonus..the problem with archer bonus is my archers are all dead from attacking in battlefield

My first u tube comment. I’m old, retired and not good with technology. I have several of the top 6 wall, and on day 32, grew Leo III to top of the server (K1199) to counter my archer threat, the biggest guy on our server. I have him beat at Monarch level 32, almost 33. His counter is C-35, while I’m under development inside the wall at C34. Question, as the sever later migrates to ground, who is the best general to counter the threat? I’m actually a new player, however I sort of made Envoy my job. I have been playing about 31-32 days. I have Robert the Bruce, Leo III, Zach Taylor, (Queen Boudica not mentioned in video) and Prince Eugene who I think is not relevant in this discussion, however also wondering how he stacks up with my Martinus (primary) and back up Roland (with lots of frags) over Hanible (because I’m thinking long term, hope I can develop him). This being my first comment from a google account I really don’t use (I still use AOL), not sure how I will even see the reply. Sorry I’m such an antique, and hope things are going well with the baby. UP….. server 1099

So forever archer will almost always be the top threat..it never really transitions to ground...ground becomes either the finishing shot after archers whipe out horse...or used in specialty scenarios...keep leo 3..you only need one wall gen...and many believe hes the best

thank you again for this video ! so i have JJ at maximum but now i use Tran Dao for siege in the meantime I will take Leo 3 ,! .my question is in order to balance the base stats of the tran I am increasing my monarch gear specific on siege to 10 .. do you think this is a good idea? ..second question : you previously made a video about your attack on enemy 4.4b with Tran dao as wall gen and had no deaths or injuries, do you think siege are strong for defense or do you always think better ground? or even better to balance siege and ground?thank for your time is you can answer ,MAX from italy 😎

Hi Genghis. Great video, love your channel. I revisited this video today in light of the new assistant general feature. I have LeoIII as primary defense gen with maxed specialties. My options for assistant gen are Johnston or Leonidas. In your opinion is it better to double down on range/siege buffs and use Johnston or go with Leonidas for ground buffs to have a more versatile defense? I do plan to max the specialties on the assistant gen given enough time. Thanks for any insight you can provide and for taking a moment to answer. I'm sure you get tons of questions every day. most people like leo / marshall .. i wouldnt focus much on ground..as tbh...when people are attacking your ground..generaly all your other troops are dead and ground just dies to a cav rally...

Heres a golden question. When sending out an attack march does the assist generals special buff work if it says when leading the army or march? Pretty wild that I have JJ, Taylor AND Leo on me now. If this is correct, my wall should be in fairly good cover. Now all I have to do is get everyone set up. Hey Genghis! It's a killing event tomorrow but I don't have a wall general ready. My Joseph Johnston has no gear, no levels and probably no life. I was wondering if there a way I can still participate in the KE? Like a clever trick with the ghosting mechanic (but I'm unsure of how to stop them from insta attacking me after watching my archer or ground army march back in the walls)?

Maybe you could talk about players taking siege bonus off and allowing them in closer range with archers. i have had more success with siege killing more range this way. but i am not sure how it goes up against t11. maybe better for people on c3+ where t11 siege rallies arent as common

Hey Genghis I appreciate you explaining this i was wondering if you know how to calculate the buff percentage from the state for example, if a general has a total of 1100 attack stats what the buff will be also, can you share this excel sheet that has the wall general comparison thanks

Click on cultivate your general and you will see the math...I believe 1% = .1 so 10% =1%

One of the most frustrating things about Evony is the lack of availability of the very best ground and ranged generals without spending lots of money. They give away the best cavalry generals in the relics and now the Tavern, and we can get most of the best seige generals from Dawn of Civilization, tavern, etc... but they don't give non-paid gameplay access to Scipio, Elise, Guan Yu, Simeon or Alfred. So unless you spend heavily, you are at a disadvantage.

Elektra is pretty rad and she is obtainable for free from relics. But I agree with ground generals, even though Trajan obtainable from tavern isn't bad either.

@@WoozworldackyCz My consideration is for the long term... that is, who we invest runestones in as a "final" general for that troop type. Elektra is good, but would be replaced by Simeon or Alfred if we get either. Even if it is very difficult, there should be a way to get Simeon or Alfred through non-paid gameplay... OR add similarly strong generals to the game, and make at least one obtainable for "free".

@@Dijone_1 But the difference is not as big and Elektra has a lot of HP. If you get Elektra and invest in her, she'll be worthed it. The same can't be said between Trajan and the ground generals. The difference is so big between them.

Hi genghis I’m on new server I got leonadias I got lucky server is only month old I have only made about 200k ground mount range and siege - tier 13/12 …. But I’m thinking long term I also have made the kuryo bracer no one else has bothered with I also have scipo and Simeon but I have no idea how build defence general or how to build defence army but still be able to attack I’m k33 tech is only 5.6m

@@kahokulani50 LOL - I think that would be counterintuitive to the point of going Leo III. Either Range or Siege Attack, then both Range and Siege Range bonus best. Use gear / refines for anything further. But, I've seen in big keep vs big keep the player who ghosted his mounts (or, majority thereof) won the power battles. So, I don't feel anything bonus to mount (built into the general, like Marshall has) is very good. Now, you might say that is just one example, well, the other example end game battles are majority Range and Siege attack and best to counter with Siege and Range. IMO and this is the way I choose.

Just a question regarding wall general. I use Zachary as my wall general right now, and I'm just wondering if it's OK for me to use Koryo Bracers + Boots combination. It doesn't seems to be beneficial given Zachary seemed to be more ranged focused, but what's your thought on this one? Sorry if this is a silly question, new player here.
