Awesome! Got to accidentally see Leo Kottke in 1984 or 85. He was opening up for Spyro Gyra. I had seen him in a guitar magazine or two, but never heard him. There was a folding chair on stage, and a guitar or two. Maybe a stool with a glass of water. He cam out in jeans and an oxford shirt, untucked as I recall, and blew us away. Well played, sir. Ewan, I've been studying guitar for about 12 years (I'm 25), and you've got the absolute best right hand technique I've ever seen. I would love to see you do work with Tommy Emmanuel or Buckethead. You've got the chops to cut heads with them both.

Just wanted to say Ewan, That Leo Kottke is one of my most favorite musicians, like after John Fahey and maybe Terry Robb, and perhaps a couple of other guys. maybe even you, included. I can not speak for Leo, but I see no reason for him to be the least bit disappointed about your version of this song, and frankly, I'd be disappointed if he did. Play on man, play on.

Practicing a lot is probably the most important thing. I'd also advice trying to find a good guitar teacher. It's really nice if you have someone that is capable of finding new pieces that are good for you to play.
