The backstory, we got over 15" of snow like 2 weeks ago and due to my schedule I haven't been able to do anything with the long driveway (about a mile with some small hills and large hills). That snow amount was originally powdery snow but became packed over the next two weeks as temperatures were up enough for it to start to melt but then it would freeze overnight as I was coming and going into work. Then Friday night into Saturday it rained quit a bit but still not warm or wet enough to remove the snow from the vehicle track area. This created about 8" or more of slush and I had to go to work that morning, still raining. The ride to work though was not near as bad coming home that in the opposite direction. As I type this on Sunday morning, it's snowing again before the Arctic cold front sets in today. This will likely be one large sheet of ice because there is nowhere for even the snow melt water to drain.
