While this whole story is shocking, the fact that an 18 year old girl who is 8 months pregnant and homeless is in such a desperate position that she meets up with a stranger off Craigslist to have sex in some random ass park in the middle of the night for just $50 is absolutely heartbreaking..
@phantagirlable5 ай бұрын
She said she needed money for gas and "mess". That probably was code for meth, which explains her desperate, reckless behavior (and that of her boyfriend).

So true. Why couldn’t she just live with her mom? She was barely 18, her mom seemed like she didn’t get involved in her daughter’s personal life at all. Idk, I’m best friends with my mom and I couldn’t imagine her letting me live on the streets pregnant and a teenager. I’m not saying this was her fault at all, but I do believe her mom let her down.
@androgynylunacy5 ай бұрын
Yea, her mom let her down. Her mom was clearly emotionally absent. I thought that too I would never let my pregnant daughter be on the street. It is dangerous out there. That shows a lack of care and concern. And she was basically still a child, if you ask me. Like wtff. And I bet the mom doesn't lose one wink of sleep at night knowing she allowed her pregnant teenage daughter to be out on the streets. No sense of "it was partly my fault" in any way.

Without consent, it's cruelty and criminal. With consent, it's providing a safe space to be vulnerable. The physical acts are part of a psychological and physiological experience rather than an end unto themselves. To all the people asking why Brooke was homeless if her Mom, Deb “cared so much.” Deb made a nursery for her unborn granddaughter! I’m willing to bet that she asked more than once for Brooke to come live with her & leave that loser Charlie. When women are in abusive relationships, the abusers completely control them. Brooke probably wanted to move in with her Mother, but Charlie had too strong of a grasp on her! Don’t just assume that Deb didn’t offer Brooke a place to live!! How about instead of that, we empathize and understand that Deb is tormented & grieving! How about we have some compassion and understand that we don’t know everything!! @@JaguarRacingTeamX Shame!😠 Get off your high horse!!! You don't know anything about these people, just an article or video on the VICTIM of a cruel crime! You have NO idea what Deb went through while her daughter was alive! You have NO idea whether she bent over backwards trying to help her. You don't know what measures she took!!! What people become when they become adults doesn't mean their parents were bad parents. Teens often simply fall in with shitty crowd. I was lucky, my family moved often due to work or I may have fallen with the wrong crowd too. Teenagers want to grow up, experience life and experiment too. And again why was she hooking for $50 when her mother had money to buy and make a nursery? Worried about catching the flu, but not worried about screwing a strange man bare-back? Is THAT what you call teenage hijinks? I can tell you don't have kids otherwise you'd ask why and how she got to that point. And no her mother never requested to a welfare check nor any other legal means to get this under control before she ended up advertising sex on Craigslist. She did not finish highschool and got pregnant at 17 by an abusive manipulated 25y/o man whom she'd been sleeping with since 15. Talk to me about where her mother was during her teen years and the statutory rape charge filed against Charlie. No? Cause there was none. Soooo at 15 she had no control whatsoever? You cannot be that dense. And "...no control over what they become when they are adults"????? SHE WASN'T AN ADULT. Did you miss that? All this was done to a very misguided, lost, drug addicted, codependent, low self esteemed pregnant teen girl. If she was 30 and this happened no one would care if she was hooking in a park pregnant and on drugs at midnight with Charlie. And yeah he'd done this before with her. It was not the first time he had her do that for money. There is far more to the "behind the scenes" but if you want to lay this ALL at the feet of poor girl that needed guidance and better parenting when she hit puberty, then by all means, Deb is a saint and a perfect mother.@@abelis644

What I truly can't fathom is the fact that these kids had seemingly normal parents with homes of their own and yet, their kids opted to live their lives in uncertainty, poverty and crime. Why? I'd rather live with my parents (as I did) until I put my ducks in a row than hooking up with some trash people, couch-surfing, and being ass broke+begging strangers for money. Kids, stay on your ass, educate yourselves, get a job, and THEN move out and find your ways. ☹️

I think there’s likely a lot left out of the story for the sake of giving the victims dignity. I understand this, but I also can’t fathom putting myself in a situation like this. I did some reckless things in my teens and early 20’s, but this is incredibly high risk behavior. No one deserves what happened to these kids, but I feel most for her unborn child who never had a chance. The parents failed her before she was ever allowed to grow up and make her own mistakes. Such a tragic case.

This case is extremely chilling, in more ways than 1. I always said they will make a documentary on my ex. When they do, it will mirror this to a T. He currently on a measly 3yr prison bid for “attempted felonious assault”after beating a woman unconscious who then escaped naked from his home. During his court case 26 police reports were unearthed showing the pattern of ab*se & t*rture. Yet since this was his “first” offense on paper (thanks to his ties with law enforcement) he was given a slap on the wrist. We’re hopeful the investigation brings more charges so he can’t ever hurt anyone ever again. However, it’s soul shattering to see how many “men” like this exist & stay under the radar being allowed to wreak havoc. They never seem to take victims seriously who still have a pulse. It’s maddening. I feel so bad for her mom. Idk what their dynamic was but my mom tried so hard to get me to leave my ex. I couldn’t see what was happening until I too almost lost my life. I’d be willing to bet this poor girl was in the same boat. I hope her & her baby girl are watching over Deb 💕
