there was another story very recently that was almost just like this. a kind woman reported her neighbor whom she’d been suspicious of for a while. she’d noticed a dirty & downtrodden woman she’d never seen before in that man’s yard briefly. she’d also heard noises & her gut told her to just call. turns out, her neighbor had been holding a local woman hostage who’d been reported as missing. she was in… very bad shape, but alive. that woman saved someone that day with her gut feeling.

What i heard from other cases is that they are astonished that they can do such horrible things and nothing happens to them. He probably did this already several times and felt invincible. And something like asking for a shovel and when asked whatfor saying to hide the evidence is also a common joke amoung guys. Only keeping on rambling about how you tried to burn it and it is in the buckets makes it very unusual.

I imagine he’s had a cannibalism fetish festering for a while and likely indulged this desire on the dark web, his use of animal hunting/butcher terms like backstrap makes it seem like he was involved with online forums that use those terms when talking about this fetish. His interview also has him admit to an obsession with serial killers, so I’d guess he just finally acted out his long held cannibalism fantasy in real like because the opportunity presented itself.

You know when I was a teenager my Dad got me a part time maintenance job at large mortuary. They would have 30 to 40 bodies to process at any one time. At first I was a bit frightened to go into the embalming area where I was surrounded by dead people. But the mortician said something to me that made my fears subside. He said "son you don't have to be afraid of the dead ones, it's the living people you need to watchout for. That was 45 years ago and I'll say as an old man he was exactly right! Never once did I think that someone was going to try to hurt me. Even though I was excruciatingly shy and very very inexperienced in every way in life I always felt very safe and I'm sure they were probably more afraid of me because I was so shy I couldn't even say more than two words at a time.😊 fast forward to age 60 and the person I live with tells me that those passengers couldn't wait to get the hell out of the car because I have so many horror stories of abuse.😅

Richard has been known to have sick fan girls and people who actually supported him wishing that they were his victims when he was arrested. Which is probably why he was so narsicistic to the though that she was attracted to him and kept ranting about how badly she wanted to go home with him and be choked to death as if it was what she wanted.

I’m glad after initially disregarding Scott’s ramblings as annoying, the neighbor then thought about who it was that was saying the creepy things and went directly to the police. I am 100% certain that stop a serial killer from emerging.

I question myself often why I watch this type of content so much. Is it for the study of criminal psychology? Is it because I prefer watching things that actually happen instead of things like movies or sitcoms? Because people who seem normal are not normal at all?... But one thing that has always bothered me is if I watch this stuff to be entertained off of It I need to stop. But I don't think it's entertaining because it's sick (violence, rape, kidnapping, murder, etc) So I'm assuming it's for the psychological aspect. I do feel really "normal" compared to the people on here so maybe that's it. It makes me feel like a normal person

is there something almost comforting knowing that as she was at the end of her life with that cancer diagnosis and drinking herself to death that she happened to get this lurking killer put away? i mean obviously she didn't choose that and suffered greatly, but it was a sacrifice that ultimately favored humanity and those that still have lots of life to live.

We have no idea what kind of life he had. The openness leads me to believe he was a tormented man....deeply disturbed, not fully in control anymore. How did this happen to him? We can never be sure. All we know is what he tells us. Clearly he wasn't well at all. I'm sure he spent most of his time alone.....obsessing with violence. There are many factors. This isn't an attempt to sympathize with him--only to understand and frame properly. There are choices people make to get to this point. Personal responsibility is important. Be intentional with you time and actions. Pray. Don't worship false idols and don't fill your time with thoughts of depravity.

The sad part about this, he has a kid, she has her kids. He should know how she must’ve felt knowing she wasn’t ever going to see her kids who she loved so much ever again. And he is a pos for doing this to her kids and his own child too. Taking a parent away from the victim’s kids, and risking his own freedom because of his sick and evil mind. I hope justice is served.
