My cousin used to model for Abercrombie. Suddenly, his career ended. He moved back home to the midwest from New York and committed suicide a few months later. Makes me wonder if he was abused 😢.

I will never forget that when I was in high school, I lost 100 lbs. and could finally fit Abercrombie. Shortly after, the CEO’s interview came out & my mom refused to buy me anything from them because she didn’t want to support their values. I was so disappointed at the time, but looking back, we love a mom who stands on business 😅

@@bapewrld2k601 yes I been there for vacation once with my wife and I noticed lots of old guys with young girls that works at bars. There are more of the than regular tourist like us on the beach. When I'm talking about old guys and young girls. Is like 65 years old with 18 years old. Sure maybe a few are true love but I'm going to say that alot of thrm are there to take advantage of young girls much poorer than them. So what I'm really saying is that is not just rich ceo and important people that take advantage of younger people with money. Even poor people use what money they have to do this to people even more poor than them. This is the reality of our society.

I worked for A&F in HS. I was the only Black employee in both stores in the mall (outlet and main). There was an incident when someone stole payroll checks from out of the manager’s office drawer and guess who they told the police should be questioned? If you guessed ME, you are right lol! I was 16 at the time and was taken off the store floor by a plain clothes female officer and interrogated without the consent of a parent or guardian for more than 3 hours. I was told that my coworkers said that they knew it was me who stole the checks and the officer continuously told me that I would be going to jail if I didn’t admit to doing it. Luckily, I knew better than to admit to doing something I didn’t do, and I didn’t allow the officer to intimidate me. Sadly however, soon after I was terminated and told that it was a corporate decision to cut hours and the number of employees, but I was the only employee who was “let go.” I ended up filing a complaint and I received a case settlement a few years later. The A&F brand culture was and still is r@cist and predatory.

Feels like majority of the powerfully wealthy have a LOT of skeletons in their closets. No way to investigate them all, but I would bet nearly all are guilty of heinous things. They feel entitled to things, even other people. Even of someone was paid, they likely were coerced and whatever they did was only because of the sum of money they received, or at the promise of promotions, material items, or whatever else.

The fact people are going to mango and not the media is sad how our systems fail us
@mimiity9585
@mimiity9585 Күн бұрын
@ Not sad at all! The media has been so bias and they have lied so much that it has insulted all common sense hard working Americans. Also, the fact censorship is not only promoted but is done on platforms like You Tube and Twitter is unAmerican. It’s gotten to the point where any opinion or report hurts someone’s feelings so much (snowflakes), that it became ridiculously uncomfortable just to speak your opinions. When I was growing up all political parties talked and shared ideas without vitriol. I’ve been a nurse 30+, trained and raised to not be judgmental. I had friends of every color, and we got along. Now because of my political leaning I’m suddenly a racist, Nazi, homophobic, xenophobic, whatever sick stupid thing people are calling each other. People have become too sensitive over EVERY topic. People throwing temper tantrums over pronouns is a perfect example!!! Comedians used to be able to tell jokes, about anybody, race, gender, culture and it was funny!!! Censorship and trying to change how we speak is against the first amendment. “Unalive?” that’s coercion to force us to speak differently like the words Dead, Rape, ass, etc. While the media censors and is so bias good reports are like dinosaurs in a new era. Never do I hear any talk especially from left leaning media about the 100,000 deaths from fentanyl. The increase of sex trafficking of women and children!!! Liberal medias networks wouldn’t even play the movie “Sound of Silence”. Hollyweird is so corrupt and sex trafficking is the norm. Morality, common sense and decency are being thrown out by the left. Naked men twirking in the streets in a parade for their sexual ideals is debauchery, and they want children exposed to this!!! Parents censored about raising their own children!!! Government shouldn’t own kids like toys!! Especially if they don’t affirm a six year old just playing dress up or pretending. Ask any normal sane child psychologist if introducing sex is healthy on undeveloped brains!! It is not healthy or normal, and confuses children!!! Going after our children over gender dysphoria?!!! The social media has pushed to confuse our children, create issues and brainwash people into nonsensical hysteria!! All rational Americans heard “no inflation”, “economy is great” while we all suffer from the opposite. “Low crime” or “decreasing crime rates”, while crime has gotten exponentially worse, especially after opening the borders to unvetted illegal terrorists, cartel, MS 13 and every other criminal element from all over the world!!! Most Americans were disgusted giving $ to illegals and not to Americans in dire need!!! Most Americans don’t want war!! Antisemitism and promoting love of terrorists!!??? Woke ideology has been destroying this country!! The left pushing Russia collusion while Americans can see Russia,China and Iran growing stronger while America grows weaker under left leaning radicals!! Lying about tolerance, inclusivity, joy, women’s rights while women are losing rights in sports, and private safe places??!!! The list is so long I hope the media either tells the truth in a no bias way or they should just burn up and go away!!!

I worked at Hollister in HS. The amount of illegal hours I worked as a minor was wild. They had a policy where you weren't allowed to leave your assigned room even if your shift is up unless you tell a manager. This meant that if you were in the front two rooms (dudes 1 and bettys 1), you'd get stuck there because managers would purposely avoid it until they had someone to fill that spot. Our only form of communication was a walkie, but those were reserved for size checks only.

So funny, I got “recruited “ to be a “model” for a&f on my college campus. I went to the job interview where one of the employees told me “you don’t want to work here”. I mainly declined for my hatred of folding clothes and being prone to migraines and that fierce perfume giving me one the moment I walked in 😂 this is so crazy tho. There was a boy in my high school who was photographed by them and I think made it to a magazine or something but long story short, he went to NY to audition to be an actual a&f model and he didn’t make it. I remember how sad he was but I’m sure he’s relieved now cause these allegations are crazy.

I worked at Abercrombie when I was a teenager and it was an extremely superficial place to work. You’re expected to look perfect at all times and employees would regularly mock unattractive customers. A&F has a “cult-like” atmosphere of attractive people pushing a fantasy for a price. I’m African American and I worked in the front of the store. One day a employee that worked in the back of the store that I became friends with came running to me and burst into tears saying that he saw a document in our bosses office that said that physically unattractive employees were to be placed in the back unseen by customers. I was speechless and there was nothing that I could do to console him. That had to been one of the most awkward and uncomfortable encounters I have ever had at work. I felt terrible for him and was shocked how brutal this company was.

A lot of male celebrities used to model for abercrombie like Jamie Dornan (did several fully nude shoots), Channing Tatum, Jesse McCartney, Penn Badgley, etc. and honestly those are just the men. So many female celebrities did photoshoots with A&F when they were literally teens and early 20s. And no im not saying they all knew about this bad stuff happening im more so pointing out how it can be likely that many of them mightve experienced the same abuse detailed in this video as Hollywood is also known for the same type of abuse. The fact that so many A&F models became well known celebrities is very suspicious considering we know people like Michael, Diddy, Epstein, and Harvey have all used sextortion to manipulate upcoming talent to their will and control their careers. Its gross to think how many people have been abused by these men and their teams.
@honeysweetbunbun
@honeysweetbunbun 3 күн бұрын
Also Jennifer Lawrence modeled for A&F when she was younger and there was a huge commotion at the beginning of Me Too about how she was super close to and always gushing and fawning over how amazing she thought Harvey Weinstein was at various Hollywood events and she was even called out by other female celebrities for being aware of his abuse and even enabling it by constantly hyping him up and singing praises of him at seemingly random moments for no good reason. There were rumours she willing slept with Harvey to grow her career but she didnt have to because she came from a well-off family with industry connections. These rumors and accusations are *allegedly* why her career went kind of off to nowhereville after Me Too. These are of course rumors around her but so many rumors surrounding these celebrities mingling with these predators seem to be proven true many years later….unfortunately 😬

My college bf was African American and worked at Abercrombie, he got me a job there as well this was like 2002-2003 maybe. I quit after one shift the intense racism and creepy rules, and asks of staff, even that one day was too much. He couldn’t quit he needed the $. They called him “token” as in the token black guy, never by his name. But it was the most bizarre experience i ever had working. The interview was even more weird they didn’t ask anything about your job history or normal questions. They asked how much you ate a day, and if you were sexually active, and what kind of music you found “cool” and what size jeans we wore. It was so weird. I couldn’t hang I hated absolutely every minute of it. And I’m having flashbacks to those days while you’re reminding me of more and more crazy regulations they had. They did tell us to act too good and cocky to customers.

Of all the creators making true crime content, you are without a doubt my favorite. Empathetic, thoughtful and you always do your research. I want to tip you on a case you might not have heard of. It’s ongoing now and is absolutely terrible. Here in Norway the police has just accused a Doctor of 98 individual SA against patients. He made sure they got addicted to strong pills, like pain medication or sedatives so they had to come back to him to get their prescriptions. And he kept on violating them. The case has not yet gone to trial, but maybe you can have this case in mind, since you cover international cases? The more that gets uncovered in this case the worse it is. My heart breaks for every girl and woman who encountered this evil man and I feel they deserve a voice. North America is still ruled over by white supremacists, especially WASPY types. A&F owned by a billionaire of course pushed this view into popular culture. The fact it did indeed become popular showed that our society has not progressed as much as we might think. It certainly proved that social norms can be insidious; no matter how despicable they are we are influenced by them. Of course your mother wasn't the problem nor those laughing at her. Both are victims of a racist ethnocentric cult like obsession pushed by a group with too much power and influence over how Americans see each other.

I was almost kidnapped, drugged, r*ped , but I think I just had a guardian angel looking out for me and told me to get out or not go along with the group/person... I would never go above and beyond in any job I do if my moral values are disregarded. They make the employees wear their clothes as their uniform, but don’t provide even one outfit to them for free. They have to pay for them- and they don’t advance any money. So before you start working you have to find the means to purchase their clothes, until you get paid. I think eventually they gave them a small discount, but it’s still pricey. It’s crazy!

True, hence I would not work there. Such processes will work for a while, it eventually it’s just not good business practice, which is why Abercrombie etc. have seen a massive downfall.

It's not that unusual. Countless people whether employees, contractors, or entrepreneurs must purchase all of their own equipment or clothing. Even schools have dress codes & items/supplies you have to purchase yourself.

I NEVER like Abercrombie!! I NEVER liked the smells, and I'm a big girl, so I always felt like this store was discriminating against bigger people. Heaven help us with the thick thighs issues!! And this store's clothes SUCK!!! Nothing special.

I remember when they opened the store in SG (I was living in SG at the time). It was nuts...with topless men standing outside. Me as a girl, I felt intimidated and I didn't go in. I consider myself a nerd and I work in IT. And their brand is just not my cup of tea.

Omg flash back to the day I had an interview at hollister (A/F in the uk), and it was the strangest interview I've ever been to in my life lol. For a start, it was a group interview which took place in the corridor in the back. There was about 15 of us and we all where told to sit on the floor 😅 I was literally the only one dressed in "interview clothes." Everyone else was in jeans and tops. And then, the moment that still makes me cringe to this day, we all had to take turns to stand up and say, "Hey, welcome to the pier." In a sort of cali accent, This was in Belfast, Northern Ireland! 😂 we where then picked off into 2 groups, "models" who worked up front, at the tills and such.. then there where "stage crew" 😂 basically the ugly people who work in the back. I got up and got outta there before I was humbled 😅

Right now in my country there is this case of a dismembered woman killed by a police officer (and aided by his comrades) that everyone is pretty sure it's a cover up for something big. Now they just have shown that some important organs are missing (probable organ trafficking) and the killer was found dead some days ago. it's pretty horrible showing the worst of the corruption in our government. It's heartbreaking. It's from Peru, her name was Sheyla Cóndor.

@honeysweetbunbun No, because she didn't use a last name, and many people listen to just the audio. Literally nobody who isn't some news junkie is going to know who Croxford is. Most people when they hear Rhianna are going to think of the singer. Also, there have been multiple instances of celebrities being a featured writers for magazines and news sites. The most recent example being Sean Penn for the El Chapo manhunt.

Hi Stephanie, This case is so similar to Epstein and Diddy. I heard about a woman who worked at a store but only in the back because of her weight. And I always thought the ads were so odd, a clothing store that showed topless men in the ads with their jeans unbuttoned. They were not showing off the clothes.

I've met many CEOs, project managers, owners of companies etc. I've noticed that a large majority of them tend to have OCD tendencies. The more successful the company the more often I've noticed this. So, just being particular about weird ish like pillows on a plane isn't the part of this that shocks me.

One of my college professors used to work at the Abercrombie HQ in Ohio. He said that during meetings, if Jeffries didn’t like something that was being presented, he would get up, walk over to the presenter’s design, *rip it into shreds* and then leave. Needless to say, my professor ditched that job pretty quickly.

Former manager here, and everything is true that she said, with a little variation. I ran the no 3 store in the country and didn't get a promotion because my employees weren't "Abercrombie appropriate" enough, basically saying they weren't good looking enough. Mind you, my employees were freaking ALL STARS and worked their asses off so my store could stay no 3 next to SF and NY. Just to have the regional manager say they weren't "Abercrombie appropriate enough." Translation - I don't care how hard these employees worked, no one is getting a raise or promotion cuz they aren't hot enough. I told him, and I quote "well that's an ironic and bold ass statement coming from you!" while looking at him dead in the face. Well, actually looking down about 6 inches so my eyes could meet his. I then put my 2 weeks' notice in, followed by about 90 resignation letters from said employees who weren't "Abercrombie appropriate" enough! About 3 months later, that store was number (approx) 258 in the company from no. 3. There's so many more stories too so let me know if yall want more! Also, if any employees from the Palo Alto store from 2004-2007 are reading this, I LOVE YOU guys so so much and I hope you are all doing amazing things but most importantly that your all happy and healthy!!! Yall were truly freaking rock stars !! (This is Elija btw) ❤
