He's the author of "A Life of Unlearning" and founder of Ambassadors and Bridge Builders International, and on this week's GeekyJustin Live, we talk about the challenges he went through coming out in the Stonewall era, trying to be straight, and ultimately fighting to change the church's perspective on homosexuality.

I lost my ministry when I came out and fell away from the Lord for 15 years after years of begging, pleading with God to change me and going through ex gay ministry and exorcisms too. I went through a great deal of Christian therapy and medication for depression and anxiety. I was angry with God for not changing me. For the past 5 months God has been moving in my heart and has drawn me back to Him. Now I realize He loves me as I am because He created me this way. His gifts and call never changed for my life and He's using me more all the time.
