Hey guys, Thank you all for the love and support. Do let me know in the comments below, if Mohinder Amarnath was truly a king of comebacks or not.

Jimmy(as Mohinder was known) should be mentioned in the same breath as Gavaskar and Vishwanath. I think the reason he’s not is because of his “come back”. If it’s confusing, Jimmy’s success came in his second stint. After failing the first time he was selected, he was ignored by selectors for a long time but worked hard to stage a comeback many years later. This time though, he was there to stay. He was so good that he was regarded by many teams as India’s best batsman. Sound and crafty, on many occasions he stood firm when wickets fell in the other end. In addition to his fine batting, he was a very useful bowler. One of the best India has produced.

Really Mr. M Amarnath is my iconic hero in my childhood, and I haven't seen such type of batsman in cricket history at that era ,he destroyed every bolwer like Emran khan , marshal etc .Lord Jagannath blessed him it is my prayers.

Probably the finest player of the hook from India. That shot earned him success against top flight pace attacks . His courage and determination were second to none. It is said Andy Roberts could bowl two different types of bouncers …a slower one that batsmen could put away easily and got lulled into a sense of complacency. The second one came at express pace towards the throat. It is to Jimmy’s credit that he was able to pick both.

Most underrated cricketer of Indian cricket, but he was hailed by many cricketers of other countries, still remember his knock of 80+ runs against westindies in 1976 test match chasing a total of 406, his contribution at the other end helped Sunil Gavaskar and GR Viswanadh to play attacking stoke play

Mohinder Amarnath has impressive test batting average of 42.50 and in odi 30.53. He was impressive slow midium paced swing bowler who took on average one wicket per two test match and ODI. This is impressive and he was a batsman allrounder. Playing 86 ODI and 69 Test match with more than 4000 test run is impressive record.

One of my childhood heroes. He was a fighter like no one. If he were in the military, he would have won at least one Param Vir Chakras.

My favourite cricketer. Magnificent shot maker. Every time he was injured he came back. He was dropped after scoring a Test century.. No wonder he called the selectors a bunch of jokers. What a player.
