I’ve been using retinol since I was twelve, as a drug study for acne in 1970. I’ve had so many problems throughout the years of over doing it! I then had peels, and that ruined my skin! You’re the only Dr. who knows how to use it properly!! Thanks so much for your informative video!! You’re the best!!

Yes! It was at Lovelace clinic in Albuquerque. N.M. There was only retin-a for many years, but it kept me from scaring like my father. Per your video, I’ve used too strong, at .1. I peel, and purge, repeat. I just realized a week ago, that the lower dose was better. I had always thought that I must peel, and your video confirms that I don’t need to! Thanks again! I’ll order more supplies from you asap!!

Sometimes you can do the “sandwich method” when using retinol such as layering a moisturizer first, put a layer of retinol, and a layer of moisturizer again. This is only to avoid dryness or inflammation from the retinol but sometimes I would just not use retinol for some time if my skin is dry.

I have been told that emu oil is the most like are own skin oils and that it is the strongest carrier oil. If that is true, it might be dangerous to use it with retinoids?

Thank you Dr.Rajani..is there an effective retinalydhyde that you could recommend for rosacea prone skin with spider veins? Have built up tolerance to niacinamide and azaelic acid.. I don't believe your products are available in Australia yet. Thanks in advance.🙏

I’m not sure I understand the extent to which vitamins and fatty acids in topical products benefit your skin; are there studies showing that they are really absorbed and metabolized when applied topically?

Dr. Rajani, I’m using Versed retinol body lotion, mixed with a Canadian brand called Reversa 10% glycolic acid for my body. Prescription tretinoin for face and neck. I’m now researching red light therapy (I will rewatch your other two videos on red light therapy). When I get this device, I also suffer from some rosacea, what part of the day do I use the red light device?

Dr Rajani, thanks for your videos and not dumbing down content. I have read that collagen powder just breaks down into amino acids and that any benefits coming from it is only due to the amino acids that it breaks down into, and probably only if people were deficient in that specific combination. How does this square with the study on efficacy of low molecular weight collagen ?

I’ve used your Rajani Retinol Serum for several months, and it has never caused inflammation or irritation of any kind. I use it 2-3x a week. It must be that the avocado oil acts as a buffer. This is completely different than my experience other retinol products such as one made by “SM”. Thank you for making such a easy to use product! I have also been trying your Volufiline cream at the same time. I put the Retinol on first and then the cream. I’m not sure this layering works because the cream might not work over the avocado oil. Should I do this differently?

I’m trying Hanna Mueller. I know I know - never heard of it. It was less than $10 on Amazon. It includes 1% of retinaldehyde. In the beginning I did have irritation but that’s gone. Sometimes I use Hero balm retinol 0.75% encapsulated retinol. I started out with ceravue with the teal cap and had much purging. I hope this is working. Has anyone heard of Hanna Mueller?
