Stephen, I truly understand the thrill it is to be returning to a live audience. But please understand how much you have a) mastered remote late night and 2) kept so many of us united while we were divided. Bless you. Because America doesn't have to smell like this.

@@WarriorQueenUnicorn Countering the ignorance that fans of Fox's Alt-Right Taint (F.A.R.T. for short) promote, takes quite a talent. He is facing the Pompous Oleaginous Obsequious Party (aka P.O.O.P. for short, formerly GOP), too as they tune into F.A.R.T. for their daily dose of common scents. Tucker does not notice the stench. I think he is too close to the source of F.A.R.T. because he has a nose for news. He is a crack reporter ya know.

I miss Our Cartoon President and want Colbert to renew it for a 4th Season! The guy who voiced Trump also voices Biden, and it's not like the government is less of a cartoon with just a different President. I even have a great idea for the Season 4 cover art image: It's Washington Crossing The Delaware with Biden as Washington, Harris as Monroe (the soldier holding the flag behind Washington), and the rest of the people in the boat could be Dr. Jill, Hunter, Doug (Kamala's husband), Pelosi, Schumer, A.O.C., Sanders, Buttigeig, Yellen, Fauci, and Psaki.

It showed off his personality and improv skills more. @@karenshaub8273 This is just my opinion, but I'm a bit weary of the hyper-produced glamour version of reality. I've always been more interested in looking behind the curtain to see what's _really_ there, but particularly now, when honesty and intimacy are in scarce supply, I like it when people are genuine and relatable. Not saying I'm siding with the "presidents shouldn't be elitists" crowd, as I will always want a leader who is smarter than I am. But in a talk-show host, or PR, or whatever? I would rather it be a real person than a facade.

Yeah, the pandemic brought out a more natural comfortable side to these shows. Once it goes back to pre-pandemic conditions the laughter after joke will seem completely fake and many of the funny charming bits Colbert was able to do at home (including the *physical* gags) he'll have to return to the imaginary props. I get that there's the frustration of being unable to see your audience or talk to your guests in person, believe me but these one-on-one, in-home sessions made Colbert's jokes truly genuine and therefore more funny.

He loves his crew obviously, but this Covid format has been harder on him than any of the late night hosts because of how much chemistry he has with a LIVE AUDIENCE. I think it's because his background was improv, not standup. Comedians who spent their early careers in sad little venues learned how to survive dying, ha. They know how to shake off the feeling of not having a joke laughed at. But Stephen being a deliverer of scripted monologue jokes didn't start until after he was already famous from the Daily Show, and a big studio audience guarantees positive affirmation. So Covid quarantine threw the standup experience into reverse for him, going from hundreds of people scream-laughing to the first-year experience of a standup newbie, just a couple people chuckling here and there, and he doesn't have the callouses to deal with it.

The informal style of these quarantine episodes have made me appreciate Stephen even more, and tonight's "bit" where he vented his frustrations over Chris' marker was both hilarious and deeply human. It'll be good to have the audience back but this solo format perfectly reflected what the last year has felt like for so many.

If that was true why would I have to pay $ 230 for these glasses . Wouldn’t I get them for free from the trump loving Italians as well as every person, country and company in the world loves trump so much. I want my money back as I used those glasses and those Italian space rays made me vote for Biden! Was I supposed to buy a special hat also? I just don’t understand any of this. trump says everyone tells him how great he is and how everyone loves him. Am I not an everyone?

"A group of men broke through my door and asked for the money. I handed it over, and in a few seconds I lost everything I had worked for seven years," the 28-year-old said. "My brother didn't give them his money. They told me to move out of the way, and they made him lie down. Then they shot him in the head," added Prince, who counts the clothes he wears at a camp outside the Libyan capital as his only possessions. Tens of thousands of foreign workers have fled Libya since the armed revolt against Gaddafi's 42-year-rule began in February, with Africans afraid they have become targets for fighters who accuse them of being mercenaries for Gaddafi. This antipathy appears to have spread to all Africans, leaving them vulnerable to attacks, robbery and other abuse by the gun-toting, mostly young, fighters who ousted Gaddafi. Identity cards of nationals from Chad, Niger, Mali, Sudan and other African states have been found on the bodies of gunmen who anti-Gaddafi fighters say were paid to confront them. Reporters saw the bodies of 22 men of apparent African origin at a Tripoli beach Saturday, people who locals said were mercenaries killed by anti-Gaddafi fighters. Big brain American heroes though, *right?*
