I'm a PGY2 medicine resident and have been watching your journey since you were in med school. I don't comment often, but wanted to share that from someone in the same learning stage as you it is nice and refreshing to see someone be open about the emotional journey of medicine. There are very hard times but also times where we are reminded why we do this and can see our growth. The sacrifices we make are quite unique to our field and the community you have made is a safe space to share our experiences. I started med school at the same time as you Rachel, but in my country we have 6 years of med school and I also took one research year between year 3 & 4 so now I have two more years of med school and to see you as a physician now is two sided. it breaks my heart a tiny bit to not be able to relate to you as a med student so I really want to be a physician already as well. but seeing you go trough residency also makes me realise that I should enjoy the last two years because it will be a huge adjustment to actually have all the responsibilities for patients and work crazy hours etc. Thank you for still making these videos ♥

Been away from your videos for a while so I've been catching up. I love these versions of your vlogs cause it helps me remember to be human too. I'm a newer ultrasound tech (about a year with experience) and I've been somewhat stuck in a rut lately due to feeling burnt out at work and overwhelmed with continually needing to study for boards. But watching your videos just puts me in such a good mood. Hey Rachel! Can you explain in your next vlog the differences of being on L&D, Ob, and GYN. What does that entail for you as a second year? Is there one that’s more rewarding and/or physically/mentally/emotionally taxing? And last question, can you just stick to doing one? Or must you dabble in all aspects of L&D/OBGYN?
