At least I _hope_ we all do! If we're not growing and learning in our understanding of God and Scripture, then we must think we already know everything, and that's a scary place to be. Blessings, Rob

I have begun to mister to women in the movement and to those being tempted by it’s subtle beauty and false light. Hebrews 10:26-31 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. 28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: 29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

11:11 - So it seems to me (if I'm understanding this correctly) that Meyer's argument is, first a non-sequitur (if you are not obeying the Law of Moses, then you are lawless), which means he's assuming what he has made no effort to prove (regarding the term "law") and finally, reveals he is equivocating on the meaning of the term "law", which - unless I'm in error, would be 3 logical fallacies in about as many seconds! His claims also imply that anyone who does not accept the Hebrew Roots view, is advocating FOR lawlessness. Which is a claim that probably leaves just about everyone scratching their heads, because, who teaches lawlessness from the pulpit? What denomination is that? I've gotten the "lots of preachers preach it" claim a few times, but never an example or name. I for one, don't know who that would be. (Steven Furtick maybe? EGAD!) And while Meyer may have changed his views... I know that not all the folks who subscribe to Hebrew Roots have done the same. Unlearn the Lies was in error? We'll we've all been there to some degree or another. And when we discover we are, may God grant us the humility to admit rather than double-down or try to give excuses. We all know how hard swallowing our pride can be!

So in Mathew 24:20. Is it command that we not violate the Sabbath day law? A prophecy from Jesus... why would He say this if its not counted in the first great commandment?
@TheBiblicalRoots
@TheBiblicalRoots 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Mike! In Matt24:20, Jesus is warning his listeners about a great tribulation that will happen in the future. He says, "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath" (Matt 24:16-20). He's talking about a great destruction that will come upon the people suddenly and they will have to flee. There will be no time to grab spare clothes, they will need to immediately run to the mountains. And if it happens in winter or on a Sabbath day, Jesus warns, it's going to make traveling to safety that much more difficult! So there's no command to keep a Sabbath here. However, there is a clear assumption that people will still be keeping the Sabbath when the destruction comes. Which makes perfect sense, since the Sabbath was never forbidden or prohibited. Great video! Just one thought... I think there is a problem with definitions here. Everyone keeps referring to it as "the law of Moses" but it isn't... It's God's Law. And He is our High Priest under the order of Melchizedek which existed long before Moses. So the priesthood existed before Moses. (At least since Abraham likely before) The Sabbath existed before Moses. (Since creation) The clean vs unclean animal distinction exists before Moses. (Noah) It's almost like maybe people knew these things because God walked with them... And then after exile in Egypt God had to reintroduce Himself through Moses. Interesting how there was 400 years in Egypt, and then 400 years of silence between the old testament and the new. Seems like God had to reintroduce Himself to us again. Seems like we might wanna pay attention lest we be caught blind deaf and naked.

Thanks, Charity! I refer to it as the "Law of Moses" because that is the term that Scripture consistently uses to refer to the commands that Yahweh gave Israel at Mount Sinai through Moses (Josh 8:31-32, 23:6; Judges 4:11; 1 Kings 2:3; 2 Kings 23:35; 2 Chron 23:18, 30:16; Ezra 3:2, 7:6, Neh 8:1; Dan 9:13; Luke 2:22, 24:44; John 7:23; Acts 13:39, 15:5, 28:23; 1 Cor 9:9; Heb 10:28). @@TheBiblicalRoots yes I guess I should have clarified, this term is also used in scripture. I don't have a problem with the term, I just think that our view of it is skewed. @@richardkerns1709 Leviticus 16:30-34 30 For on this day shall atonement be made for you to cleanse you. You shall be clean before the LORD from all your sins. 31 It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; it is a statute FOREVER. 32 And the priest who is anointed and consecrated as priest in his father's place shall make atonement, wearing the holy linen garments. 33 He shall make atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tent of meeting and for the altar, and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. 34 And this shall be a statute FOREVER for you, that atonement may be made for the people of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” And Aaron did as the LORD commanded Moses. Leaving aside the various uses in the OT of “h5769. עוֹלָם ‘ôlâm” (go search every single one, many/most times not used in the fullest since of the English word we translate it to), do you accept Christ’s atonement for your sins once and for all? If you profess Yeshua as your Lord and Savior, and are consistent with yourself believing that “forever“ here in Lev 16 means FOREVER, then you cannot accept His atonement for your sins per the Torah. Christ is not of the tribe of Levi nor of the house of Aaron, and of course that would be a change. So the pressing question still is, do you accept Yeshua’s atonement for your sins?

The Mosaic Law hasn't been nullified in its entirety. The moral law, _i.e._ the Decalogue, is still very much in play. Jesus Christ Himself said as much, as well as the Apostle Paul. So, the New Covenant's Law of Christ includes aspects of the Law of Moses. The moral law is a representation of God's unchanging moral character. To negate the moral law is to say that God has changed His morality, which denies the traditional Christian idea of the Triune God as being immutable and perfect.

What i find baffling is your dismissal of all of the instructions in the OT. If you break one of The Ten Commandments, you sin. YESHUA even expounded on the Ten Commandments during the Sermin on the Mount. YESHUA didnt take 614 down to two, that would be absurd,. Lying isn't a sin, sir? Coveting either? Aside from that, the NT was not written in Greek. YESHUA spoke Hebrew to HIS apostles, Paul didn't speak nor write Greek. Your interpretation of what YESHUA said about washing hands into "you can eat anything" must be your love of pork. YESHUA did not say eat anything. Peter had a dream about eating unclean animals and he was horrified. YESHUA did not di away with eating Kosher, or Peter would not have reacted the way he did. YHWH is not a liar. HE never changes. ABBA said those foods were unclean, period. Try turkey bacon.

Rob, Lex claims his church Grafted Church in Yukon, OK is a non-denominational Christian church. On the website : "We do OUR BEST to love God and love our neighbors." Hmm...Is the Christian religion about " doing our best"? Nope. "And we are a community of believers who follow Yeshua ( Jesus) and love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength." Hmmm.....in my church's Sunday morning and evening worship services we confess as a congregation that we have NOT loved God as we should.
@lawrencereynolds2348
@lawrencereynolds2348 2 жыл бұрын
It's true that the Christian faith isn't about "doing our best". From my understanding, it's in large part acknowledging the fact that we have erred from good and condemned ourselves through sin, and that is why we need a savior in Christ Jesus who suffered and died on the cross to atone not just for our sins, but the sins of the world so that all who believe in him might be saved. The website statement that they do their best seems to imply that they are aware that they'll never BE the best at loving God or our neighbors (hence why we need Jesus Christ our savior), but still strive to improve for the sake of showing faith in Christ Jesus through works of love. "in my church's Sunday morning and evening worship services we confess as a congregation that we have NOT loved God as we should." Again, this is why we should do our best to love God and our neighbors. If you think that that's wrong, does your church proceed to say "Yes, we confess we're not loving God as we should but since the faith isn't about doing our best to do so, we're just going to call it a day"? I certainly hope not. I believe the first statement that Lex and his church do their best to love God and our neighbors feeds into the second one where they say they love God with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Lex is not someone who believes that he's already at that perfect level and I've seen him admit in a video or two that he is (for lack of a better word) flawed, which is why we should all try to understand the texts so that we might follow Christ Jesus and God in Heaven by extension.

@@porfiriojohn5276 I am NOT a SDA, and never have been. I was raised in the Church of the Nazarene, and studied theology at Southern Nazarene University. About ten years ago the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the Sabbath and Feasts, and it has been a blessing in my life to keep them. I do not identify as Hebrew Roots either, and simply think of myself as a Christian who is trying to be as Biblical as I can be.

I think an even worse false teaching by Lex Meyer is this: "When Jesus says you must be born again of the spirit, he's not talking about your soul being born again but your fleshly body being transformed into a spiritual body." ~ Interview with Rob Skiba about his book 'Immortal' This man teaches false teaching. This is heresy. That is not what Jesus teaches us about salvation and being born again. If he gets the fundamentals of salvation wrong, then I can't trust him on anything else.

Sorry but no new Covenant has come as when it comes Israel and Judah will be reunited and no one will teach anyone to know Hashem. Jesus did not condense the commandments into 2 saying the law is Love G-d and Love your neighbor was taught long before Jesus the Torah is G-ds teachings on loving each other and him. Also Paul was not an apostle he never knew Yeshua and his teachings do not line up with what's in the tanak.

Some people love to twist the words of the bible to change to say it is saying other than what it is saying. They will say does it mean what it is saying, or is it saying something else. For example: does it mean this generation will not pass away will not till all is fulfilled. Most think it is our generation and not the one Jesus is speaking to. Jesus did the cross in the generation of the disciples, not ours. He said it is finished in that generation.

@@richardkerns1709 heaven and earth was the temple where God dwelt in sanctuary. You are thinking about the heaven earth you see outside. The heaven and earth was in the holy of hollies in where they made atonements for their sins. That has passed. We are no longer under that covenant of in the heaven and earth in that sense. We are in spiritual kingdom where God rules if you know and trust in Jesus.

Sorry,bt You are doing the same work as Lex, tearting Gnostic (the trinity is also fals, Jesus was the son of Joseph)..Marcion was condemned be the church as heresy, you agree on that I think? Marcionism was an early Christian dualistic belief system that originated with the teachings of Marcion of Sinope in Rome around the year 144. making a lot of fals changes to the translation he and Theodotion made from Hebrew to Greek. Marcion is call "the son of satan" be Polycarp. Marcion did not believe Jesus was Messiah, so creating the modified genealogy suited him well. For our current genealogy in Matt destroys this 2 ways: it cuts off Joseph as father of Jesus, and hence Jesus is not from the David line. (therefor Jesus is not from the line of David, and He can therefor NOT be the true Messiah, as per this scrip has been falsified dy Marcion.) Second, it added Jechoniah whom Jeremiah cursed as no heir of his would sit on the trone of David, ending Jesus as a Dvidic Messiah altogether....

The Problem you both have is: trying to make Saul fit with the word of Jesus....follow Jesus, and not "the one that come after me, in he's own name," Jesus told us, look up rev 2:2 .... was talking about all of Asia that Paul complain to 2 Tim "they have all left me" becoz they have all rejected Saul....so should we also!

I really like this channel but the part of saying that the KJV manuscripts have stuff added is not true. It is the other manuscripts that erased those verses. God is not going to hide from his church the more accurate words of scripture for 1500 years of church history. He preserves his word down through church history amongst his people. But look at when those other manuscripts came to light: right now down our time when deception is the norm. They came in at the same time as the pretrib rapture, mormons, JWs, 7th day adventists, and the modern tongues movement. Being dated earlier in and of itself means nothing. You can find counterfeit money older than money that exists today. God is not going to allow his word to fall away from his people for 3/4 of church history.

torah (second, perfect covenant rejecting believing) followers can't and don't have an answer to John 8:36. It makes Matthew 5:17-18 well clear and is proven by Hebrews 10:9-10 along with the ultimate confirmation in Ephesians 2:8-19. IT IS FINISHED!! We are ELEUTHEROS!!!

@@TheBiblicalRoots This is the problem with all these sub religious cults, the followers very rarely apply 1 John 4:1, ans they certainly aren't John 4:24. This is why we must search out the scriptures as Paul said, to see if the things people speak are so. Love your work Rob, GOD bless you

Romans 8 7 Says the flesh is hostile to God for it is not subject to the law of God. The word submit can also be translated as obey see the greek for this. 1 john 5 For this is the love of God that we keep his comandments we should love God .this comes from the old testament .law = instructions see torah in hebrew.. adam and eve did violate the instruction of eating forbidden fruit .jesus is the high preist of the melchizedek preist not levitical .and hebrews says it was a transfer of the law not a change or abolishing. transfered to a everlasting preisthood .and your idea of a new covenant is lacking full context read jerimiah 31 31. You shall not have to teach your neighbor to know the Lord for all will know the Lord .this is still in our future. For all to know the lord is prophecy about the day of the Lord. All of these statements is a bigger converstation that sound bite verses cannot explain for your postion or mine .God does not change or make mistakes Shalom

Thanks, Jeff. You said, _"Hebrews says it was a transfer of the law, not a change or abolishing. Transferred to an everlasting priesthood."_ But Hebrews says, "For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a *change* in the law as well" (Heb 7:12). In fact, the word "transfer" does not appear anywhere in the book of Hebrews. I'm curious where you got this idea of a transfer rather than a change? Maybe I'm missing something. You also said, _"God does not change or make mistakes,"_ to which I can respond with a hearty "amen!" Shalom Rob

Love your teachings but the NIV is bad news. The older versions have Jusus lying to his brothers stating that he will not go up to the feast. John chapter 7..Then he goes. The word 'yet" has been removed. Acts 8:37 is removed completely. The ethepion eunuch does not need to "believe with all his heart" to be baptized....the 3 that bear witness is changed...etc. etc. Not that Lex is right but if you check out the scholarship of many translations you will find that are heretics.. .Eugene Nada etc.
