I was introduced to this poem 12 years ago when I was in high school (maybe middle school?) And it's only now that I kinda sorta understand it. The Vitruvian Man goes hard!

This is beautiful!! "I am just trapped between maybe and should, childhood nightmares and fatherhood dreams how long before I just leap? say love, say yes! "

I don't understand why slam poetry is so weird to most people, this is such a beautiful example at all the emotions spoken word holds. UGHH they presented this so elegantly.

God poetry like this, so real and emotional and raw just run shivers down my spine. One day I hope and dream to be as good as the people who perform at the Bowery Poetry Club.

It's funny, I keep waiting for the one disappointing poem from this man... and it just hasn't come. You are brilliant, poignant and inspiring. Jeanann, fantastic performance as well.
