Crosses with Papi or Luxe are great, give them unique shapes and colors. I start to buy some Anthuriums like KOS, AOS and red crystals so I can cross them myself.

I love your plants, and I love fontanimal plants so much! They have the most beautiful crosses! I cant wait to get more from them!

Yes! Please do a tutorial on Anthuriums! I just got my first two because I love how they look but I don’t really know anything about them! Love your channel!! I’ve learned so much from you and your format for teaching such a wide range of information! So thanks!!

I'm obsessed with Palmstreet! I've gotten FOUR free plants from there with the combination of the sign up perks, referral credits and a free shipping on my fourth plant since I had used up the free shipping coupons. I'm also recently obsessed with anthurium! I just ordered my third one which is a Radicans x Luxurians! I'm so stinking excited to get it and watch it size up and mature! Sorry about your storm damage but glad it wasn't worse for you (even though deductibles suck)...Your house is still intact and you and your fur babies are alive...that's a win 😊 Also, congratulations on 20K! You're very deserving and I'm happy life seems to mostly be going well for you!

I have been looking for some reputable yet reasonable plant stores that sell online. I'd love to know if you have any you'd recommend. Live auctions are not my preference. Thanks in advance!

I’m not familiar with palmstreet, but i did go on whatnot to a plant auction & kinda got caught up in it. But, the plants, at least over there sell for much more than they do at a local nursery. So, im still kicking myself for doing that. I could’ve purchased 4 plants locally instead of the 2 I bought 😒

Just bought my first plant from Palm Street, a hoya. Waiting to see how it goes.

I have 2 random noid antherium seedlings I bought from the same place, same time. They are same size but shape of the leaves is different and color of emerging leaves is dark red on one ( and when leaves harden of there is still some red on the veins) and on the other.lighter brown and hardened off totally green. Still small but exiting how they will turn out . Yes, hybrid seedlings are exiting but can be very expensive. Mine were just 4 euro each. I just got a pure luxurians, some hybrids are very nice but I want the "original" first.

I wonder, in your opinion, which genus is more finicky alocasia or anthurium? Lately, I started my journey with alocasias. I even manged to grown my first alocasia (alocasia azlanii) from corms. However, I still wonder whether I made a good choice, because this year is going to be my first winter with these plants.
@AlohaPlantLife6 ай бұрын
Tough to say. I think it just depends on the specific plant too. For example, my alocasia tiny dancer is so much more carefree than my jewel alocasia are

Well I only owned one and have always wanted more but I was on a plant ban for a year after losing my job (which I did a pretty good job sticking to). I’m not going to just anthurium though.💚
@marierejoiceinjesus38466 ай бұрын
The average collector will not deal with the care of Anthurium. Even the large collectors, who I assume know what they are doing, have crispy tip Anthurium around their homes or a grow tent.

We quarantine new plants due to possible pest infestation. Sellers who reuse poly, etc. could be introducing pests to a buyer's shipped plant. Not a good idea, IMO.
@AlohaPlantLife6 ай бұрын
Oh, I probably should’ve clarified. I didn’t mean reusing it to ship plants. I actually reused that box and some of the paper to ship off a pair of shoes that I sold on eBay yesterday.

be careful about showing the shipping labels on boxes in videos!! 🩵🩵

I honestly don’t understand why everybody says that. I’m a homeowner so it’s public information in a public database that anybody can search. Basically what I’m saying is I couldn’t keep it a secret from anybody if I wanted to, but I appreciate your concern.💚
