I have the Benno Boost on order and simply can't wait to get it! I've loved biking since childhood, but my knees are not like they used to be at 51 years old. The ebike era is just in time for me and reminds me of when I was a kid. Carefree and happy 😊

The boost (blue) is aluminium and the remidemi (green) cromoly

On the Boost 24" tires. Are replacements easily available anywhere?

The common wheel sizes are 26" or 700c. I am going to assume, such as with the Carbon Gates Belt drive, that it will be harder to find or be readily available.

No it’s just the remi demi is steel

The negative on this bike is the front fender installation and the over abundance of wire for the ridiculously placed front light. No where could I find an installation video or instructions on how to build the bike. I think that the frame should be aluminum to cut down on the bike’s overall weight!

Why do some retail makers charge so much money for their product? The price of things reveals its own discriminations; it is only available toward those of a certain income level. I built my own e-bike with Trump's first stimulus send out. My e-bike is now worth over $2500.00. How cone Bosch does not make a 500 watt+ engine motor?

1)Ebikes are expensive to build. A good propulsion system will cost the builder(when ordered in high quantities) upwards of 1200$(excluding taxes). Than you need a sturdy frame and brakes and wheelers which are tougher than normal ones(so they are more expensive) than you have to communicate your product(the best product is worth nothing if no one knows that it exists). After that the retailer will earn a margin somewhere between 20% to 30%. And don’t forget taxes. 2) it’s not hard to make a 500w Elektrik bike it’s a legal thing.(in Europe up to 250w rated power you don’t need a licensee registration or insurance ( it the 250w rated motors can give you upwards of 700w a short time(for acceleration) 3) one thing to consider is that the e bike industry is fundamental different than the car industry. Because big car makers dictating the prices they are willing to pay tobte suppliers while the suppliers in the evoke industry are much bigger that the bike manufacturers so for example Bosch can get whatever they want for their motor.

@@harrie205 I had a previous bike before I built up my e-bike. It was a carbon 10-speed hybrid. I removed the parts off of that bike, and installed them on a very sturdy and solid mtb frame which came with a 100mm front suspension fork for $109.00. The big purchase was the motor kit; $954.00. I installed what I could on the new frame and then having a very good LBM in San Diego at the time, he installed the motor kit for $50.00. I got a screaming deal on schwabe tires from sweden, $20.00 each. My total cost for my bike came to a little over $1200.00 for a 750watt motorized e-bike. Much less for a new one and as a matter of fact, my bike type, if bought in regular retail market would have cost over $2,500. A lot of people just don't have the knowledge in how to shop for certain items they need, where to shop, nor how to build up their own bike. That is why some things in the world of materialism are expensive for the general public. I've been riding bikes since I was three years old. As I got older, I learned about cycling from friends, and then I purchased a couple of bike mechanic books which saved me tons on the expense costs of repairs.

We don’t feel it is expensive actually compared to it’s alternatives. If you way up the prices of tube/ train tickets over 3 years @£7 a £15 / day 5 days / week over 42 weeks / year = could be over £5k for 3 years! Or measure up to car running costs and depreciation it’s miles more, plus the mental health and physical health benefits of cycling let alone the climate benefits it’s a no brainer. Don’t be scared off by the initial price tag, looks at the costs considering the factors!
