Modern editors prefer spaces over tabs since a tab could be a different number of columns depending on your environment. Spaces on the other hand are always one column. Even at Google the standard is to use spaces, if you don't believe me: google.github.io/styleguide/cppguide.html#Spaces_vs._Tabs And no, most people don't keep on pressing space for indention, the editor has an option which translates tabs into spaces.

I'm guessing comedy shows and movies directors sometimes let actors improvise after they finish shooting the scene with the original lines on the official script. Some movies, especially comedies, have outtakes and line-o-rama features in their special features section where comedians are told to improvise several versions. Paul Rudd comes to mind.
