The governor claimed death sentences were applied disproportionately to Black offenders. The families of victims murdered by non-Black offenders would be less likely to receive that "great relief."

We hold an administrative body to a higher standard than regular people who've played by eye-for-an-eye all day for centuries, many times without enough evidence to convict, not that they even give the accused a trial back in those days. Look at the entire history of human sacrifice and legal execution for relatively petty reasons. We've abolished all kinds of instinctual behavior as illegal. This is just another in the bucket.

One person currently on death row that killed 4 people two of those where children ages 2 and 4 yrs old is glad I'm sure. One of the victim's children is a relative of mine who's life was shattered because of the actions of one man. I just pray that he has repented and asked God to come into his heart and do good with the mercy he has been granted. God knows enough damage and heart ache has occurred because of his actions. Remember to pray for the family and loved ones of Keisha Stephens, her brother Rueben and her 2 precious daughters Nykia and Sheariya and her son and 2 surviving daughters, family and friends. They are gone but never forgotten.

The death penalty should be outlawed everywhere! I used to support captial punishnent but no more! The death penalty is an antiquated form of punishment not to mention the fact it's more expensive to execute someone than it is to keep them locked up for the rest of their lives. We as a country are better than this and I agree with the Governor here!
