I played soccer all my life. Just yesterday after playing on turf I woke up this morning coughing and I could feel there was crumb rubber in my body. Did I inhale it? Did I swallow it? I don't know. I just know it made me sick..I would stay away where possible...

My 22 year old son who was a soccer field player on both indoor and outdoor artificial turf fields since the age of 9 was just diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is undergoing chemotherapy now and suffering from terrible side effects. He is at higher risk for health problems related to the lymphoma and chemotherapy for the rest of his life, provided that treatment is effective and his cancer goes into remission. There is a chance he may die if treatment is not effective or he may relapse with lymphoma or develop other cancers later in life. We need to protect our kids from the likely health dangers of these fields and keep them off until the scientific studies about the effects of these chemicals on human bodies are known. Please speak up in your communities, advocate against the use of these fields and educate your state and government officials about the potential danger of artificial turf fields.

It turns out that artificial turf is made from old tires, and very bad chemicals are emitted which are causing leukemia and more. Also, the surface of turf apparently gets very hot, one measurement showed 200 degrees on a 98 degree day!

You need to use the study with the NFL and other American football participants to determine whether the turf is ok to use. Since they have a ton of power, it's up to them to decide not independent soccer associations to use artificial turf

The dose makes the poison. And is cumulative. The soccer goalies are the proverbial canaries on the tire crumb field. Diving into it over and over. NFL players hate what it does to their bodies and the damage it does to their joints. Baltimore Ravens have gone back to grass as have other NFL teams and Universities.

A massive public information campaign is needed immediately. Cancer fields for our children are becoming more and more prevalent. If all you have is a suspicion that this is cancerous, isn't that enough for parents to become motivated to act against their schools and communities installing these fields? Why do you allow your kids to play on these surfaces?

Turf is safe. Use rubber from raw material and don’t try to be environmentally friendly and recycle tires for this use. Also you can fill it with cork instead of rubber.

It's not becuase they dont and they won't replace their investment unless forced to and there aren't laws so no one would ever install them so they are absolutely not safe

Not ture defenders have to slide on turf multiple times I brun my leg with turf more then 30 times and I haven't developed cancer.
