My father was wounded, captured, and sent to a German prison hospital on 1/1/45. He subsisted on grass soup. Prisoners of other nations received generous Red Cross food boxes but not Americans. He traded his allotted cigarettes to others for scraps of food. The German doctors cared for him and kept detailed records and he always thought they knew they would lose and didn't want bad press with Americans. His shot-through foot, badly grazed shinbone and exploded knee experienced zero healing in his four and 1/2 months before liberation. The body needs excellent nutrition to heal from a major trauma. What Israel is doing to these innocent Palestinians is so evil I can't stand it. All I can do is contribute money and post online but that's a butterfly effect on reality. So disappointed in most of humanity. No real progress since 10,000 years ago, just more effective killing technology. This heroic nurse is actually doing something about it and yet feels as though "she knows what needs to be done but has nothing to do it with". #freepalestine
