What if your worst day was televised? What if your lowest point was plastered all over social media for strangers to judge your sanity? Would they assume you were crazy? Da'Naia Jackson is no stranger to online persecution. She's breaking her silence and giving a voice to the voiceless. This interview was so heartbreaking we couldn't help but name it, "Sorry, Mrs. Jackson."

Situations like Da'Naia's are why being single isn't an insult and being married isn't always a flex. Just because someone is married doesn't mean they're in a GOOD marriage! They're plenty of wives out here being lied to, cheated on, disrespected, embarrassed and generally mistreated. I hope black women learn to love themselves enough to stay single until they find healthy, loving relationships.

THIS! some people's grandmas had marriages like this throughout their youth, which is why i don't think the number of your years of marriage means very much. it's the quality, not quantity. i have an aunt who testified about her mother sticking with her abusive dad through years of abuse and cheating as if it was a triumph.

Morale of the story: No matter how handsome a man is, never compromise your self-respect. Never chase a man. Never move to a different state to follow a man. Never tolerate disrespect and cheating, especially before getting married. Have sexual and emotional discipline. Heal before seeking a new relationship. No matter how painful it is to walk away, do it! The probabilities of turning a cheater into a good husband are extremely low don’t think you can change a man.

We've all gone through being played, lead on, cheated on, lied to, disrespected and/or staying much longer than we should have. Even in little doses, like if the situation-ship only lasted 6 months. For me, I remember my intuition telling me that something was not right with him but I let my feelings keep me hooked to him. Then I learned that just because we have feelings for someone does not mean that we have no choice except to endure disrespect.

I honestly feel so bad judging Da'Naia. And this interview has shown me how we have become too comfortable with social media. Too comfortable commenting. Judging. Speculating. Her story is the same story of so many Black women walking through this world. Hurt. Rejected. In pain. Simply seeking love and doing whatever they think they can to secure that love. I don't know if she will read these comments but I apologize personally for participating in the hate train. I can't even imagine how it feels to have your worst days, your lowest point, broadcast to the whole world. I pray Da'Naia finds true love and happiness one day. She's a funny, intelligent, brilliant woman who deserves it. Derrick on the other hand... I pray that God has mercy on your soul. You reap what you sow and what he will reap in the future will be painful and humiliating. Keep shining Da'Naia and keep being who you are.

She chased him; continued creating soul ties; and manipulated him into marrying her. She used other men to make him jealous. She knew exactly what she was getting herself into. I’m not defending him, but this woman is NOT a true victim. Derick remained true to his character. She was totally on board. Remember he said, she wrote or helped write the books. She wanted the ring, got it, and all the pain that came with it. My main point…. She knew exactly who this man is/was.

@@oneofakind2276 your right, it's called been human. Personally at 45 years old, I can say that I have never allowed a man to treat me like a second choice. However, wisdom teaches me that we do not all behave the same way even after experiencing trauma in our early year's. I have empathy for her and I am blown away by her GROWTH, accountability after the fact (many never get to this stage). She has arrived and not only is she beautiful but she actually has a personality that only now we are we seeing. I wish her all the best and everyone else who is actively seeking healing.

@@oneofakind2276You sound so judgmental of her. Thank GOD you are NOT GOD. On top of that she’s admitting what she did AND she was young AND she’s still healing daily (as it is taking her time to be healed completely) bc she did mention she was r**ped so she now understands she should have gotten healing before getting into a relationship with him and she also stated due to that situation it made her act like that bc of not being healed. You must be soooo perfect and have lived a clean life without mistakes. If the ONLY reason you wanted to hear her story is to criticize her why are you here on this platform listening if all you wanted to do was criticize her and please spare me saying you’re not bc your first comment says it all.
