Execution of Martin Gottfried Weiss - Fanatical NAZI Commandant of Dachau and Majdanek Conc. Camps

Martin Gottfried Weiss was born on the 3rd June 1905 in Weiden in der Oberpfalz then part of the German Empire.
Weiss had two sisters and was raised as a Catholic. After school, he pursued further education in mechanical engineering, which he finished in 1924 and worked as intern in an ironworks. During the summer of 1926, Weiss became a member of the Nazi Party and, together with two friends in his hometown, established local branches of the SA and the Hitlerjugend, which were the Nazi paramilitary and youth organizations, respectively.

And old friend of mine survived Dachau. She just died at nearly 100. She was a sweet and kind soul. There was no execution kind enough for these Nazis. And I’m a German.

I’ve been to Dachau twice and it’s a very somber experience I can’t imagine what it was like when it was liberated.
