This is the first video I've been able to do in its entirety!!! I'm so glad I found it, as I had a baclofen pump placed in January, and due to complications (long story), i've been having trouble stretching, which is a must for severe spasticity, especially when it's gonna be a while till we get my titration dose right and I've been feeling like the spasticity's worsening since surgery!!! (It's that bad!🥴) Thank you so much for all you do for us!!!🙏🏼🥰🙏🏼

I have a young patient (20) who I’m trying to get into a tall kneeling position. I was able to today, but even though he has the strength to do it, he has a difficult time following. Any words of wisdom or further activities to work his core as well as strengthening his left LE would be greatly appreciated. Been at this a while (also 20 years) but sometimes a fresh pair of eyes makes all the difference!

I had a 9-disk 2si joint surgery 5 months ago and it is like my brain and legs aren't working together. I can not walk without Trek Poles. I am trying these because I am frustrated. I had a 5-disk lumbar fusion in Nov 2020, a knee replaced in Nov 2021 and the 2020 fusion chiseled out and replaced plus 4 added lumbar fusion as well as 2si joint surgery in Dec 2022. I walk good with Poles, but alone, certain parts of my body are weaker than other parts and I am unable to walk. I am trying these because the things you talk about fit the way my body is working. Thank you!

Your voice and method of explaining is impeccable. Really appreciate it. The question I have for you is that, mostly stroke pateint is an elderly person, and knee pain is one of the most common complain in every second person at this age. So I want to know that if kneeling down like this is not possible for them, what can be the best alternative for achieving these effects without bothering the pateint... ?

If you can get into the tall kneeling position and rotate the leg all the way out . Should you still go through the entire sequence or focus more on the affected leg. I think that’s more of where my problem is my affected leg can hold my weight easily and being plus size that’s a lot of weight 😄. I think my biggest issue is that there is some tightness in my affected hips side and thigh so I am still focusing on your first sequence of videos because that seems to help me a lot. I have a little one so it’s hard to do them every day. Thanks for keeping your videos so informative I would really love information so that’s the best part of me.

MoniqueShaq22 thanks for watching! That is a great question! If you can support your body weight on the one leg and maintain good form than you can go into half-kneeling (next video :)) which is kneeling on one knee. Make the important thing is that you can keep the bottom in on the effected side whether it is on two knees or one knee. I hope this helps!

Hello I have question baclofen help with plasticity du you recommended
@rehabhqofficial5 жыл бұрын
Plasticity? or Spasticity? It definitely helps with spasticity but it is temporary so to help with "plasticity" I highly recommend you do this in conjunction with therapy. When the baclofen is "effective" it might decrease the resistance when attempting to relearn the "opposing movement". I hope that makes sense.

Thanks so much for your videos, they are invaluable. I wonder if you have any ideas about my predicament. My unaffected leg seems to be imitating my affected leg when I walk. I walk without a cane. My issue seems to be a lack of confidence in putting my full weight onto my affected foot. I feel that my affected leg is trying to copy the affected one and not doing performing of it’s own accord. I don’t know if this makes sense or whether I just need to keep practising but it is worrying me. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Many thanks.
