@@TheArrowedKnee I love those too, did them today. I typically do them in front but I went behind the back, very nice stretch. I do 9 sets to failure on all 3 heads and I superset all 3, I don’t put the weights down, so painful.

@@thiagobp0159 100% agree, same with arms. I don’t go over 25lb dumbbells for laterals. But I have freakishly long arms. I’m 75” tall and have an 85” wingspan, pretty crazy. So I don’t need much weight. Much more torque on my joints, totally unnecessary.

Never really thought about being deliberate about hypertrophy until watching your videos and decided to try it out with simple push-ups on some boxes to give me some extra depth and hooooly cow, 20 reps with a deliberate focus on extension at the bottom of the range of motion was ridiculous. I was a little iffy about my latent homosexuality, but I am now wet for you.

On the contrary I absolutely adore the lying curls you and Jared are pushing, I usually do the Free-motion variation but if you follow those up with Spiders or Scott bench curls it is like the Houdini Secret Lever. 12:46 the GHD situp is the BEST ab exercise for hypertrophy. You get a HUGE stretch in the abs and hip flexors that is hard to get in any other exercise including the dragon flag or what DR.Mike recoined "candle sticks ". Dragon flags are better for strength/stability and power since when you master it is just an isometric( your core is NOT supposed to bend = no stretch) anyways hope that helps any of you guys and encouragez yall to try it outz! (PR: 5x5 20lbs plate and 5x10 bodyweight) Im currently a bit of a fat f*ck at 240lbs like 23% BF and still have visible abs !

@@keagenmccartha7412 your hip flexors are actually connected to your abs😮(shocking, ik). they, along with your quads, tibialis, pectoral muscles, front part of the neck, etc make up your anterior chain... The candlestick exercise DR.mike highlighted engages your hip flexors as well and so do like 99% of the other ab exercises because that's just how the body WORKS. Lastly EVERYONE should train their abs... Because its part of your core and like..... That's like 50% of your body and it's the center of your physique aesthetically and functionally they help you not wreck your spine when you lift heavy sh!t as well as LITERALLY PREVENT GRAVITY FROM FU(KING FOLDING YOU FOWARDS AND YOUR ORGANS FROM SPILLING OUT. but yeah you probably don't need to train it at all you can just get by having big arms, legs, back, and a beer gut just make sure you save some pussy for the rest of us king 👑.

@@EdwarkingOFitness you want to hit abs without engaging ur hip flexors. ud understand if u were built half decent... im 5'9 200 with abs that have veins on them. guess what. never worked abs. if you actually trained hard ur abs would be engaged during most lifts
