Leg Lymphedema and Leg, Ankle, and Foot Swelling can cause aching and difficulty doing your normal daily activities. Leg swelling can be caused for many reasons, like lymphedema, venous insufficiency, lipoedema, after surgery, or other reasons. For all, exercise is extremely important for lymphatic health and to manage leg lymphedema.
In this video, I go through the best leg lymphedema exercises that are similar and easy to do for all levels. These exercises can help get the fluid moving out of your arm or hand and improve your joints, skin, and decrease size.

I really appreciate your videos. I've saved a bunch of them to show my oncologist. I've had swelling in my legs all along but now the right leg is really bad with the swelling going into my knee. It's debilitating because I can't really walk. I see my oncologist every week and it's just not getting better. I've actually gained 26 pounds in the last few weeks because of the fluid. I've gotten more insight and help from watching your videos than anything. I had a lumbar puncture that caused nerve pain in my back and now this swelling problem makes it worse. I really need this to get better so I can even do basic activities.

Thank you, Kelly. Your videos are packed with so much helpful information. I never knew that I could perform lymphatic drainage - I thought I would have to see a specialist. Thanks to you, I have started to learn how to help my body get rid of lymphedema. I had a double mastectomy which has left me feeling unattractive and worsened pre-existing lymphema issues I had before my cancer surgeries. Your dry-brushing video and manual lymphatic drainage helped so much. I have improved my heath and post-surgery body acceptance issues thanks to your generosity in sharing this information.

Most people will benefit from taking turmeric with added circumin I have started a week ago and already the swelling has reduced in my legs I highly recommend it .

Legs are not the same size yet but has reduced still taking Furosimide which makes you pee to get rid of the fluid leaking from the blood cells and drinking 2 litres of fluids a day paradoxical but that’s what they tell me to do .

male 58, and this is the first video i have found on YT, that is for cancer/leg swelling... my chemo has this side effect, and am dealing with feet/ankle swelling. have not been diagnosed with lymphedema, venous insufficiency, lipoedema, but i need these exercises

The exercise that truly helps my edema is a rebounder! I discovered this only a few months ago. I'm able to manage my swelling ankles, feet and tight legs with bouncing up and down without pressure on joints. I don't wear my compression socks and it works out quite well without. This is by far one of the best lymphatic drainage methods I've come across. My bungee mini-trampoline is 40 inch in diameter and of extremely good quality, one you'd see in a gym. I had a cheap spring version but it squeaked and the springs broke in under three months whilst the mat was not as giving as my current rebounder! Finally, the health benefits are enormous !

Thank you so much for showing exercise for the area above the knee. I'm had swelling there ever since microscopic surgery for a torn mlniscus and I believe these exciserses may do away with the swelling. Looking forward to more of your videos. Sylvia

All these exercise can only reduce it a little but can't cure it fully I will recommend herbal medication it's effective and reliable

My physical therapist showed me similar excersizes and it made my low back and knees stronger even before lymphodema..I just Hava a hard time with pain in my knees..like muscle knots around the knee..I don't know why but slapping the knots around my knees helps

Unfortunately there is no cure for Lymphoedema. Not yet anyway. Its just a case of managing it.

Hi Kelly , my lymphedema came from sitting on the chair for mons not going to bed and not elevating my feet at night due to a severe depression because of divorce and loosing the custody of my kids and my husband take the kids out of the country and i can not see them for years , i was not even sleeping for mons , any ways am not diabetic in a matter of fact i just had a blood work came out pretty good except am low on Vitamin D because i live in Michigan and you know we don not see the sun enough here ، any ways i have swollen in both legs the same , i did not have a survey or nothing just from sitting on tje chair for mon and my feet on the floor all the time but nows it starts hurting a lot and i have a yellow fluids coming out from my skin in both legs a little over my ankles in both sides and my skin is peeling too it hurts and smells nasty so its leaking yellow fluids from both legs , plz tell me what am suppose to do , i have a beautiful legs and feet and i do want to take of them again and get them back to normal , waiting for you answer

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. Is it possible for you to go a doctor to get help with your lymphedema. The yellow fluid that is leaking from your legs sounds like it’s the lymph leaking out through the pores of your skin. I have had lymphoedema for 17 years due to cancer surgery. It takes a great deal of work looking after lymphoedema and it’s really hard getting on top of it. It would be really good if you could find a lymphoedema clinic at your local hospital that may be able to support and advise you on how to help you with your lymphoedema.🇦🇺🐨🦘

Where I am, now, there's no place TO walk!! And I no longer have any room to bring my drums up here or I'd be bashing them nearly every day! EVERYTHING is working against me!! I put my feet up for at least 20:00 a couple times a day and I've been doing stuff that Austin Goh says should work but it's only getting worse! I haven't had water pills for who KNOWS how long because my Dr. won't let me have them anymore!! I've cut WAY down on salt. But, my feet almost feel numb!!

@@1timbarrett According to the various doctors I've heard from, cutting down on salt is supposed to be a good thing as far as getting rid of edema! I hardly ever eat salty stuff, anymore and, if I do put salt on something, it's pink salt. And I doubt I even use that more than once a week.

@@sunheri189 I've seen a number of doctors about this since I wrote that first bit and they all just look at my legs, feel, poke with a needle, have me walk, give me balance tests, take off my shoes and socks and then tell me to come back in 6 months to a year!! I finally got the water pills back after several months, now, she's also got me on metropolol and Xarelto! First, they said I was only gonna need it for 3 months, then they said, the rest of my life!! I just found my aunts TINS(?) set and will give that a try to help but, it looks like I have to go buy batteries for it!! The rechargables that came with it no longer charge.
