As an american the genre this song sounded the most like it would be like a 2000’s american R&B. Which is what i grew up with, so the sound to me is nice.

For Kai's buffness , Kai actually changes his body according to comebacks , In love shot he was skinny but in Obsession he broke all the record he became the skinniest of all time, but you see Kai don't do unhealthy diet, so his abs remain , you will get to see the muscle and the masculine vibe that he wanted to show(his body is strictly controlled by him), but Tiger Inside Kai is my favorite(SuperM) he was buffed but not to much , perfect. Did you find the lip chain man , he was wearing white hair and face chain here.

Good interpretations. Obsession actually has 2 different meanings. 1. Exo is fighting their bad feelings as artist and person, the ego, the obsession, the jealousy etc. That's why they said "shut up an go away" 2. In exo storyline the red force created clons of exo that are evil (the colorful one) so exo need to fight them to protect the earth

As you see the present six members SUHO, BAEKHYUN, CHEN, CHANYEOL, KAI and SEHUN have made a group comeback before their leader SUHO had to enlist which was July 14th 2020 following BAEKHYUN & CHANYEOL enlistments sometime this year; CHEN hacd enlisted on October 26 2020 and recently returned this year back in April 2022. The more I watch it, the concept and lyrics gives me LOTTO and MONSTER era feels about a "Man's obsession with his lover" but vice vera especially in the beginning when the voice echo says "I want ya, I want ya”. After listening to the digital album, I was obsessed with it before it even came out and I couldn't wait hehe; this is the title track of EXO's 6th album with the same name ‘OBSESSION’. *The song brings trap bass blend with synthwave & jazzy accapella influences similar to their 2018 track "Tempo" with a vocal refrain running throughout the song. Lyric-wise it comes as a warning toward an ex-lover/friend, corrupt media, toxic SAESANGS and ANTIs to stay away avoiding entitlement which is a constant issue among the kpop community. Don’t forget to check out #CHEN new song LAST SCENE that was released during his new solo comeback since his return in April. #CHANYEOL HAS RETURNED FROM MILITARY RECENTLY AS WELL. EXO is a diamond not only of SM but of the entire K-POP industry.
