So Mielle came out in 2014. I am certain I found that brand in a local hair supply store shortly after. I was excited. Been using them since. Started using the growth oil in the late 20teens and I enjoy it. I do not use it everyday, but maybe once or twice a week. I actually need to buy a new bottle soon.

I love Mielle products. I'm still using them with other products.

I don't give any credit to people who won't give all the context about their experiences based on their hair profile. Did you do the patch test first before using the product? Is this product suited to your hair type and porosity? You don't know what's causing the hair loss or shedding if you use the products of the line combined with other things and/or do hairstyles that put tension on your hair / require more manipulation. The brand offers 3 ways to use this product on your hair. Did you follow the guidelines? Did you use a small amount as indicated? If you had a bad reaction the first time, why did you leave it on your hair and keep using it? Also, people tend to diminish the impact of diet, water intake, hormonal changes, and stress on their hair. So maybe it's the reformulation (where's the need ingredients list ?) or maybe it's people who don't do their due diligence when they introduce a new product in their routine 🤷‍♀️ I know my hair is resilient because I went through a lot of health related hardships and my hair didn't suffer from it (I had a very strict life hygiene for years so maybe that helped too)

I'm still watching the video, but I have to give my 2 cents on 2 important things. I get her reasoning behind her brand being acquired and the fact that it's a great opportunity to grow her business, BUT I understand people's concerns about how the brand will go from there (and I'm not talking about representation or culture,e, etc.). Her brand had so far a very specific demographic, and business-wise, it's more interesting for her to reach a wider audience as much as possible, meaning new products for new people and new concerns that are different from the ones of her original target audience. This acquisition would also push P&G to reformulate products so they can raise their margins (I used to buy ordinary products for years before the company was sold to Estee Lauder and since then, prices raised, many favorites have been discontinued or reformulated in a way that doesn't work as much as they used to) I've used her hair oil for about 1 and a half years, and it was great as an oil treatment before wash day. My hair is already growing fast, so using biotin, whether in its oil form or caps, is making it grow even faster. I didn't repurchase because I live in the EU, and I'm doing my oil mix (less frequently because my hair is too long in its current state), which is less expensive. Her product (I only tried the hair oil) is good but it's nothing groundbreaking when you take the time to research and try all sort of natural ingredients that promotes hair growth 😊 Ps : I started using her hair oil in the end of 2018.

I don’t know about this. I’ll wait and see if an actual law suit happens but it does sound like nonsense. Most of those hair loss photos looked like common shedding. None of them said how often they washed their hair. None of the ingredients in the oil should be causing hair loss so are we saying that they are hiding ingredients but no one is looking into it? I mean, if I was a chemistry student or something, I’d be trying to figure out how to analyze the ingredients as part of a project 😂 But I guess we will see.

This channel has popped up in my recommended a few times for some reason, but what is an exotical? Is it just lighter skinned women? Because I first assumed it was for exoctic women that had unique features. But the creator of Mielle just looks like any basic light skinned black woman you see outside, she's not special looking at all. She's not even all that attractive.

Light skinned and/or mixed women or having Eurocentric features.

A black identified person who benefits from one or more of the isms: colorism, texturism, and featurism. The woman in the video is black and benefits from colorism so she is an exotical. But it's not just about being light skinned. You can be dark skinned and be an exotical if you benefit from featurism or texturism. The term is essentially just for black people who dont have the same experience as unambiguous black people because they don't have all three unambiguous characteristics: darkskin, broad features, and 4c hair.
