Amazing video very in-depth. One correction though, in the US Market 2013-2018 all have a 7speed DCT transmission. I've never heard of a G63 having a 5 speed trans. Interior wise, 2013s have NTG 4.0, 2014-2016 have NTG 4.5. 2017-2018 have NTG 5.0 with Apple CarPlay. The screen was also increased to 8.4". You also forgot to mention the annoying hood squeaks while driving. There are 2 circular stops underneath the front end of the hood, and over time they start squeaking. Applying tape, grease fixes it. You can also get updated bigger circular stops from eBay or amazon. Another thing to look out for is the circular ball fixed front suspension. Make sure they aren't leaking and the seals are good. Also, over time there's a lot of interior rattling since the suspension is so harsh. Also in 2016, they switched the naming on the back of the car from G63 AMG to AMG G63. An additional side storage was also added to the front doors in 2016. I believe the GPS antenna on the front roof of the Truck was removed either 2015 or 2016 Also this damn truck has 3 batteries. 1 Main and 2 Auxiliary I think thats pretty much it. The M157 engine is pretty reliable

@@KCKnowsBest I haven't had a lot of luck with my g63. It has 62k and I've changed oil pan gasket, passenger valve cover seal, I've done cam sensors as well. I've been noticing a small leak from my driver side turbo. Passenger side much less but they seem to intermittently Leak. I'd say one or two at most when parked overnight. Are turbo o rings a common issue for the Garrett supercharger? I idle fine, boost okay. I'd hate to think my turbos are bad after 60k being completely stock

One other question is there a fan that turns on and stays on after the car shuts off to cool the turbos? My fan in hot weather when the car is on is obnoxiously loud, when the car turns off I hear a fan turn on for a second then turns off

@@djzaki mine is a 13 as well with 55k miles currently. My fan does not stay on or make any noise after car is shut off . This is my first time hearing any Gwagon do that. I do have a small tiny passenger turbo leak (I think). Have to investigate . But other than that truck runs like new. No lights on dash, I’ve had to replace 02 sensor, & power steering reservoir hose (both were inexpensive) Couple months ago, I changed all fluids ( transmission, front & rear diff, transfer case) I also put mine on Facebook market place to test the waters. The most offer I got was 85, everyone else is offering between 70-75 range

So I bought a 13g63. I aimed to find a 13 with the lowest amount of miles because 16,17, and 18 models cost over 100k and have minimal differences including the Navi screen and bigger paddles on the steering wheel. I've listed it for sale to test waters, and what I'm finding is thst no one is willing to spend 80-100k on a car that is almost 10 years old. While it does keep value, it does take a very special buyer to want to buy one. While it does maintain value, I'd also like to add thst it's been a maintenance hog. At 50k these bi turbo engines need virtually all gaskets replaced including oil pan and both valve covers. Correction, all models of the years had the same transmission. With thst being said, I love mine like my own kin. It makes you feel on top of the world. People respect this car.

Your problem isn't just the age of the car bc of time, but because there are better options in the same generation for not much more money all things considered. I'd spend 100k on a 15 before I spent 80k on a 13 because the 15+ has a better transmission that makes the car more drivable, and slightly better tech for bluetooth etc.

I have both 2019 Urus and 2020 G63. For longer trip, driving Urus much comfortable than G63, especially passengers have more leg space at rear seats.

G500 is pretty slow. G550 is perfect for most people. I went with the g63 because I wanted the upgraded interior. If you want nice nav with touchscreen, consider upgrading to a 12.7” Android screen with wireless CarPlay.

I seen one not Interested. Drove one still not interested. 😂 I own a Jeep and it’s nothing alike to a the G63. You can off road it but that’s it. It’s not exactly the type of car you can have fun modifying it. It’s much nicer because it’s a Mercedes-Benz and it gives you the value for what you buy unlike a Jeep. But Jeep is really a different type of Lifestyle and if you don’t want to spend $100k on a vehicle. Great video like always P.
