@@Karatemart Not a problem. Your vid made my day. I was taken aback. Like I said, I saw this vid, I instantly knew I need this in my life. I even told my brother! He actually has heard of your site. He bought a baseball bat stun/taser baton from you guys. I just didn't know he got it from you guys. Small world after all haha. I was planning on getting the baseball bat baton but, like I said. I know what I like lol. This Bo staff simply speaks to me. I see you are currently out of stock. No worries. I understand business can be hard or you have something planned/that you are working on. I don't need the staff anytime soon. Im not picking/starting any fights, I checked my calendar and I have no fights scheduled, I'm not even involved in any secret Fight Club. So I'll be patient and wait for you to restock. Just please please please let me get my 2 Piece Collapsible Bo Staff ASAP but take your time.

@@DblSol I really appreciate that! Thank you for your support and please let your brother know that I appreciate it as well. Yeah, sadly there is a metal shortage in Phoenix right now (I’m guessing due to the housing boom), so we are having trouble getting certain metals we need to make weapons. We are expecting the materials we need for that item in a week or so, so you won’t have to wait for long. Thanks again man! I appreciate it!

This does look like a really cool weapon. What keeps the staff from inadvertently opening up? Is there a twist locking mechanism? Or is the force necessary to extend them more than the normal swing of the arms? I'd hate to raise it and have it open before I'm ready.

It looks like some kind of internal oscillation/gyroscopic mechanism whereby when you move it sharply in a certain way it opens up, because there are no switches, very sophisticated device Be awesome shit if there some way to make it auto retract as well, think of the mechanism in automatic umbrellas 🌂, they can auto open and close, but can't retract, that is the difficult part to engineer ⚙⚙⚙🔧🔧🔧, double hydraulics system is one way to do it, challenge is fitting it inside a handle without the device being far too bulky

One of the thing I like about staff combat is the ability to use it from both the middle like in the video, and from one end and extending my reach and leverage. I guess if they're collapsible, they aren't really designed for that kind of usage, but... is it at all possible? Would the end I'm holding run as much of a risk of warping on contact as the end that strikes? Would that midsection hold up to usage like that? Don't get me wrong: this thing looks freaking cool, and the ability to go from staff to dual-wield seems legit! But before I go trying to use this thing in the ways I've been trained to use solid poles, I gotta know if I'm gonna break it in strange places.
@Karatemart
@Karatemart 2 жыл бұрын
That is an excellent question, Chuck! I invented this about 10 years ago to strictly be used as a compact way to transport your staff too and from tournaments easier. It is the same strength as a collapsible baton, so it can take impact, but it’s not really meant for that and it may bend if struck hard against something very dense. If you are planning on hard strikes that could warp it, I wouldn’t recommend it for that. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!

Why do your products have a Prop 65 cancer warning? I was going to buy until I saw that, never seen a tactical product before that has a cancer warning.
@Karatemart
@Karatemart Жыл бұрын
That's a great question, Lena! California started enforcing that warning a while back and because there are approximately 900 chemicals that require the warning, it became next to impossible to determine which chemicals are in the 5000 products we carry. So, to play it say, we did what most other companies have chosen to do at this point and added the warning to all of our products. I'm sorry if that's confusing, but the number of warnings we must account for nowadays is very frustrating for us as well. Thanks so much for watching!

Hi Erik, I invented and patented this item for the purpose of being able to transport your staff too and from tournaments or the dojo. As a martial artist, it was always a pain bringing a long awkward staff onto a plane or into a car. Depending on the model you are looking at (we sell a bunch of different models) the side that has not been extended will stay in while the other is out. Thanks for watching.

I like the staff although for me personally it would be hard to use at less I had experience with this type of weapon. so I like the one which is made of two parts that you can combine so that if you don't want staff you can have two batons. however there needs to be a mechanism that separates and combines the two pieces instantly just like you did with opening the staff ( you did very good job there by the way). But don't ask me how to actually do it because I have no idea. overall I really like this staff and this type of weapons in general

It your collapsing it like a plastic lightsaber toy simply by pressing it towards the ground, would it do the same if say it was used in a jabbing motion. I get that some things are props and you have to understand the capacities of what you have, but in a real world situation if you have that and nothing else you’re expectations have to be on par. Great question! Similar to batons, it uses friction to stay open. If you use a lot of force when opening it, it’s more difficult to close it. To close them, you really need to do a strong downward strike onto a very solid surface, so It will work for straight jabs. However, if the jab is too strong, it could close.
