Yep! I have done a bunch of random jobs with it that I just didn't have the time to record near end of season. Hopefully more time to record this upcoming season!

Cool video. Great angles and content. Love all of the timelapse stuff you do as well. Have you ever run a Kubota SVL 75-3? Thats what I'm using right now and its a really nice machine.

Moving the head stone of the driveway was a good idea bcos it look like a cemetery 😅 nice video sir

Great video I think you need to give your excavator more throttle. Sounds like you are running it on idle. You have nice machines :)
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I generally run it around ~1800 rpm, so its around 2/3s throttle most of the time. Just how that Doosan engine sounds.

Great Video, What brand of tilt bucket system are you using on your mini x?

their are a few tricks to digging in rocky area like you are doing there to be a little more efficient as well as being easier on your machines.

Do you still use your Kubota Bx23s for small contract work now that you upgraded to the tracked loader? I own the E35 and just replace my mid sized tractor for a T770, but have an opportunity for a Kubota Bx23s. In your opinion is it useful to own for access in tight areas and backyard landscaping?
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I still use the bx23s for a variety of small jobs that would just be overkill or non accessible for a tracked machine (skidsteer or excavator platform). Nice to have the light weight wheeled machine that doesn't turf or damage lawns.

Great video and narrative, although it took me a couple days to watch the entire thing. Gotta say one thing though, you live on one big rock pile, jeez!

What is that laser you use? Never seen one before? Awesome video. My wife and I both watch them.
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
I didn't use a laser in this video, but I presume you are referring to the ZipLevel Altimeter (the yellow corded item). Thanks!
@mikel9567 Жыл бұрын
If you're referring to the yellow corded item, it's called a zip level. They are pretty nice. We use them for working on stormwater systems where i'm at. They aren't as fast as a laser system but they are nice and accurate and far more cost effective than installing a laser system on your excavator or dozer. The ziplevel costs between $700-$1,000 depending on which model you get.

Hey man, I love the combo! I have a landscape company and I’m debating what to do. I currently own a bx24 with the back hoe. I’m debating getting a l2501 with a hoe or getting a used bobcat e26 or a mini of that size. I do similar work to you. I have a job it’s spreading 120-150 yards of topsoil. I was thinking load the dump trailer with mini then tailgate spread it and use bx. What’s your thoughts? Bigger tlb or keep my bx and get a mini?
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, thats a tough call. I think you would be better off going with a mini and keeping the bx. Gives you more job flexibility than getting a larger TLB that would now not fit in compact areas and not compete with a mini at all.

my question is how do you charge people, is it buy the hour or job and how much. just curious ?
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC Жыл бұрын
I bid by the job so that the total scope and cost is known to both parties (myself and the client) prior to starting. I find hourly work to be too variable and more often than not leaves either party dissatisfied.
