Suits to Shorts im a american from California i would like too be your friend my name is Carlos 23 :)
@tyrionp74336 жыл бұрын
Suits to Shorts be advised. I just had a friend that was on the SMILE visa try and get his 20k deposit back. He decided he wanted to leave and go somewhere else. They only agreed to give him 5k in hand, and the rest would be sent to him over a period of 6-12 months. Apparently after some research done by him, this happens almost 8/10 times. So if one thinks they’re going to just get a check for 20k and be on their way, you’re wrong. That’s the way it’s written, but not the way it happens. So, just be financially prepared to not receive that whole 20k, if you decide to leave.

Have fun in El Nido! Cliffside Cottages has always been a great place to stay. LoLo Panding is the sister B&B and just recently built, if they don't have rooms. There's plenty of nice places either way. There's an awesome bulalo restaurant next to LoLo's Panding. They've got good motor bike rentals at Cliffside BTW. Drive up to Nacpan as well!

I've lived in the Philippines for a total of 5.5 years. The 1st 4 were at Clark AB (86-90) the last 18 months were from Jan 2011- Aug 2012 in Manila. When I arrived in 2011, the visa stamp was for only 20 days. Then you could get an extension for 60 days at a time up to 2 years then you had to leave for 24 hrs before retuning I think it was.

As always... So excited to see your next video. A drone is a must especially if you live in Palawan. It will be a no brainer, wise investment. El Nido will blow your mind my friend, it will definitely put an exclamation point on why it was a wise idea to go from "suits to shorts". While you are there, there will be a moment you will be in a post card like setting in paradise, your beautiful loving girl next to you, and you'll have the biggest smile on your face, this is when you'll know..... Life doesn't get much better. Watch.... Mark my words buddy, it will happen. Always excited for you and your new family. God speed. Ingat. once you have the focus, you should put your lens in manual focus so that it doesn't constantly search for focus.
@Suitstoshorts8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice Angel, I am new with the dslr so still learning.
@angelsantana76098 жыл бұрын
no worries. you can also increase the aperture to f11 or f16 so that you are always in focus. Your background won't be as blurry but the lens won't search for focus and distract your viewers. Or you can switch your focus point to the center dot so that the lens is just fixed on you and won't be confused by people walking around behind you.

WOW! You have a great following! 1,000 is quite impressive. I just got to 100. I believe there is another program in the SRRV visas as well for military. Ned (from Philippine Dreams) went over it briefly. It has some different options as well with a lower capital that needs to be set aside. I believe the age to attain this was 50. Good information all around and thanks for posting. Ok, so I will be looking forward to your videos for El Nido!

Most vloggers don't seem to clarify the separation of married/single status when discussing visas to Philippines. Also I met an expat who owned a condo in Cebu. He wanted to convert to SRRV but they wanted him to buy ANOTHER condo to qualify for the investment requirement. He could not use the existing condo for that. I got the 13a after being here on a Balikbayan visa for a year and half (took a trip in the middle). As my wife was dual citizen, she was allowed (as the relocation primary) to bring ALL of our household goods. Obviously we sold the 110V appliances. We didn't want the couch or entertainment center but it was 3/4 full container. No import fees.

For those who marry a Filipino/Filipina, there is the 13A Visa option. Maybe that is what you were going to refer to in the link to the BI website? Probably the best option for most who want to live here permanently. I availed of the 13A prior to arriving and finalizing it upon arrival in Manila at the BI. Have fun in El Nido!

I am planning to move there this December 2016. I was planning on just visiting but now my plans have changed sooner than expected so I will be making my permanent move this trip. I have a round trip ticket from Hawaii from December 3rd to 10 Dec. My question is since my trip is only for ten days...should I go right away to the BI to try to extend my first 30 days? My worry is that my flight back to Hawaii will have past and will I be in a bind then? Some advice would be helpful...thanks...Andrew
@Suitstoshorts8 жыл бұрын
Hello, and congrats on the move here. Are you coming to Palawan? If you are positive that you will just stay long term then you do not need to go to the immigration right away. You just need to ensure that you extend 7 days prior to your 30 day visa expiring. I hope this helps.

Camera isn't the best either. I use a retired US military drone. Has the longest flight time (even with somewhat old batteries) plus has an engine for fast flights. Carries over 40 lbs.

Hello, thanks for the informative video. Hoping you can advise on a question related to a departure ticket and immigration. I fly into Manila and have a departure ticket for a flight out within 29 days. I plan to go for the extension as you advised - But I am unclear on whether or not i will need to show another departure ticket (departing within the 2nd visa extension period of 29 days). When you went for the 1st extension - Did you have to show a ticket out of the country? And if so - Did you need to have the departure date within the window of the 2nd extension?) I saw some thumbnails of other vids you posted, i subscribed and will definitely check it out. Any advice you would be willing to share from your recent experience would be much appreciated.

I'm in the process of selling everything I don't need, and don't want, I'm going to put my home & furnishings up for sale in February, once that's all sold, I will be returning to the Philippines and I plan to live out my life there as I'm not needed or appreciated in my own country, and my heart is in the Philippines and my girl friend lives in Paranaque, metro Manila, that is where I want to live. I need buyers to buy everything I'm selling in the Loser City Tucson,Mexizona metro area.

Whoa, dude! Hang on. It is not all roses with what you are doing. I have a house in Tucson and my Filipino wife of 29 years and I have a house and a lot of land in Quezon Province. I haven't decided where I will live for good, but am now looking at going back and forth for a few years. I love the Philippines and want to live there, but I want to keep all options open. I think you should too, especially if you haven't spent a lot of time in PI yet.

Hi Christopher, I'm Filipino, even though we have abundance of cheap foods and transportation here, our medical facilities sucks. Don't sell your place in America.You will need it when you get sick.

To the older Americans, note that Medicare and many private insurance companies DO NOT cover you when you exit the US or territories, the closest to the PH is Guam. You can search and find travel insurance which only covers you in countries specified and a short period of time. Unless an emergency go to Singapore for hospitalization, 4 hour flight from Manila or 4 hour to Guam, few people ever talk about this. PH hospitals are known to get their money for treatment and will post guards at the doors to ensure a patient doesn't leave without a pass and many medicines you have to have someone find and purchase from outside pharmacies and bring back and it's typical there are higher prices for foreigners.

Hey Jerry, yep that was Robinson in PP , ha ha. We had just enough cash on hand before we had to leave to come back home. I was surprised they didn't have many ATM's there considering how many tourists come through. But we had good times.
