Well done Guys, you're finally 'down to the wire' in your exit from the west to begin your journey as Expats in Ghana! Congratulations for taking the final steps to fulfill your purpose. It feels weird like we're loosing our next door neighbor or something hahaha, but don't forget to keep those batteries charged and cameras rolling! We'll be watching.

Kids adjust very well. I took mine to Kenya and they easily took to what was available. If anything the friends they made helped them absorb into the culture. They said it’s the best experience of their lives. I took a high schooler and middle schooler for a few years . Your kids will love it!

Greeting is very important in Ghanaian culture, it is one way to know your neighbor doesn't have a problem with you. Our mothers and fathers wake up everyday to go greet their neighbors before they even eat, it is also a security thing, if you greet someone, it is like you making them responsible for your safety, very important to greet in Ghana.

Hey Tony. Small point nit picky point but one I've learned watching these expat KZbin channels. Don't call African countries like Ghana "third world". Seems the term to use is "developing". One of my buddies from the continent was highly offended when I called Ethiopia a third world country.one day. I apologized and made note not to say it again. Safe trip y'all

Third world is not offesive. It reffers to countries (Asia, Africa) not politically aligned to the USA/first world & the soviets/second world. Because the soviet union is non existent & many 3rd world countries were/are economically poor, and non-industrialized, it became a stereotype to refer to poor countries as 3rd world countries Ppl just need to be educated
@MrOu83
@MrOu83 4 жыл бұрын
@@eagleeye3715 - After all that, Third World, no matter the origins of the term, implies poor, underdeveloped, etc. If they find it offensive, use the term they prefer. Period.

Great content as usual.....have a safe flight and all the best in your new home. Love your boys....they are sooo adorable! Trusting they will transition well in their new home and school. They are blessed with good parents to assist with this move and to reassure them that everything will be “irie” as we say here in Jamaica. Along with you on the journey!

Thanks for the tips! I'd like to know what you use to guard the children from mosquito bites and the possibility of malaria? Is it true that children under 5 cannot take anti-malarial drugs? What are some alternatives? Congratulations and best wishes on your new journey!
