What brand of side signal/marker lights are those on your jeep? I love these, I want exactly this style. I want to get rid of the oem, and the part that hangs down in the front below the side lights, but I didn’t want to remove the fender lining and the lower portion like everyone else does when they run these new blinker markers. Please let me know what these are, thanks!!!

Hi, and great hearing from you! I am running the Rugged Ridge Fender chop kit. I chose this kit because it allows me to keep the inner fender liners as well as the black edge trim. Also look at the new fender chop light from American Adventure Labs. Let me know if you have trouble locating those, I may be able to help.

I purchased them over 2 years ago and after doing the Rubicon or any real rock crawling, I’m using a pry bar or removing to optional skid plate to hammer it out to allow clearance for the step to deploy. Biggest waste of $2500!

I think just looking at the build of these and how they are mounted, they will work for overlanding and mild rock obstacles, but would never be able to handle full on rock crawling with these being banged up and needing these to support the whole vehicle weight. In fact I don’t think any boat style side skid/ sliders would handle heavy duty rock crawling. Only thing that will handle rock crawling are actual rock sliders which mount to the frame, not body mount bolts. I have the evo rock sliders which mount to the frame, can be welded to frame, and those will hold entire weight of vehicle and can even be used as jacking points. But unfortunately, they don’t help or aid in getting in and out of vehicle, and for me personally, I don’t do hard core rock crawling, I do some rock trails, mild stuff, but mostly trails with obstacles here and there. And my Jeep is used for daily driving, which I need aid for the family to get in and out. So I just bought these RsE steps and swapping them with the evo rock sliders. I don’t expect these rse steps to be able to handle hard core rock crawling, but I just hope that these rse steps will be reliable and not crap out randomly. That’s why I’m on KZbin and watching reviews to see if they are reliable long term just as steps and mild sliders.
