Bought a Buck 110 in1972 after I got my first paycheck from a really good temp. Summer job. One of my friends had one, he took it to Nam and as soon as I hefted it, I had to have one !!!! I wound up working in a Body Shop for the next 20 years and that knife got opened and closed a dozen times a day, scraping paint, digging rust, opening cans and general box opening and tack hammering. Got sharpened weekly, hundreds of times and the blade shrunk quite a bit !!! wood dented, brass dented. The lock got so bad that it would not lock OR stay closed, not safe so I stuck it in the drawer and got an Army knife. Fast forward another 20 to 2012 and I got another 110, just as beautiful as the 1972. THEN I saw the paper with the LIFETIME WARRANTY , and decided to send my nasty beat chunk back to Buck and take my chances. I figured they might just give me a new one BUT NO. When my OG knife came back a few weeks later, I opened the box and "It can't be my knife". It was beautiful !!! New blade, repaired lock and it opened and closed like a bank vault. I basically got a like-new custom made knife. They ground and polished the brass and cleaned the wood up too. They had to leave some dents in ( they were deep) but that was just fine. I've retired the OG except for Sundays but since then I've gotten a third 110, the Big Buck hunting knife and a half-dozen Buck folders All make me very happy !. Looks like a good warranty makes good customers !!!
