Andy, where are we with your machine Let's see, you checked the velocity and you have a power supply of about 36 volt DC at 10 amp. Is that right? Sorry just been super busy

@@GuruBrew my power supply is 24 volt 15 amp. Ive been laid up for a while. Still get motors to lock up with holding torque. But the only bump on the roadrunner, and only in one direction. Im pretty sure my pin out is right with the hobby cnc manual. I am using a UC100 usb to parallel adapter for computer interface. Thanks for remembering me!

OK, that should be plenty of power and you set the correct voltages vrefs on the board, correct? I am really starting to suspect that USB to parallel port converter maybe the issue. Have you read this link in its entirety? www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=25538.0

@@GuruBrew i have not, but i have seen videos of other peoples machines working with this. Yes I used the pots to set reference voltage for my motors as per the hobby cnc manual. Wondering if it could be a driver issue on the parallel adapter?

Just the fact that the motors are holding steady leads me to believe that it's the parallel port not communicating with controller properly. Did you read page 2 of that link I sent you. Are the dros advancing even though the motors aren't turning
