NOTE FROM TED: We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at an independent TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines. Claims about interspecies communication are untested hypotheses and only represent the experience and opinion of the speaker. There is no viable research or evidence presented in the talk to support these claims. The guidelines we give our TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t...
From pioneering work at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) testing telepathic communication with astronauts in space, through personal research carried out in a potato field in the west of Sweden and recorded experiences in the renowned vegetable garden at Findhorn, Michael discusses his compelling results from intentional cooperation with the "Subtle Realms" and how they have been observed and verified.
Michael Lindfield is a highly regarded consultant and coach with over 45 years of international experience in helping individuals and organizations unleash the creativity of the human spirit. He has conducted seminars and presented at conferences around the world on the theme of ‘transforming self and society’ and worked as a senior organization development consultant with The Boeing Company from 1989-2005.
Michael is author of ‘The Dance of Change: an Eco-Spiritual Approach to Transformation’ (Penguin Books 1986) and numerous articles featured in psychology, education and business journals.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

With respect, there are worlds of things science cannot measure concretely, and even in quantum matters, we work statistically now, we can only discern behaviors statistically, we can never know what one electron will do- An individuals experience must rely on circumstantial evidence, since you cannot measure meaning in a lab. But if the real world effects can be seen and measured, is it scientific to dismiss the evidence? But we do appreciate TEDs ethic and dedication to fact. The problem is fact is not all we like to pretend it is. Facts change, truths don't. Interspecies communication is as old as humanity, reductionism is a dangerous game based in 19th century thinking. Materialism expired with Einstein, but many pretend otherwise.

I learned to use my intuition over the past year through gardening. I was following instructions from online sources and not getting good results, but when I just said screw it and started trying "random" things to see what would happen, I found out I can grow pretty much anything. I learned later from my mom that I come from a long line of expert gardeners. My advice to people is to just go out there and *do* what interests you, and you'll be surprised by your success!

The evidence is now over-whelming of non-material constructs interacting with material constructs (mind and matter) in which the non-material/non-local dictates reality. As a species our minds and brains are evolving by utilizing awareness and intent. The sense of "sound" evolved to include the cognitive emotional aspects humans call music. This same process constantly evolves human subjective evaluation of knowledge and perception; a circular concept or feed-back loop. It is nice to include plants as aware sapient beings.

"There are so many people who limit themselves." Yes, indeed. I'm convicted! Isn't it amazing how we think we need to get the permission of other people to move forward and upward to become Highly Evolved Beings? This year I decided to no longer need other people's permission! Intuitive promptings is the normal way of life! After all the amazing talks on TED, what's the matter with them? All of these subjects are not even the "cutting edge" of things. This is just common knowledge stuff. We listen, and we know it's true! Love TED, though. Always appreciative of the platform and every precious speaker! Be like a chalice and receive the ideas from the universe .... Vision go through into action. A new world can be born. God awakens in humanity. What a gentle soul this man is! Go interspecies communication. Law of resonance rocks!

I have a question about the theory of intention when it comes to thought. it seems to me that in these experiments when done with plants, bacteria, and animals that there is always a direct connection between positive intention and positive outcome. From my own experience, it seems that with humans, no matter how much good intention or positive thinking you send to some people, they do not/will not respond accordingly. In some cases, the more positive you are, it seems to have an indirect response. Why is this the case, since humans are the supposed higher beings, over plants and animals?
@BornShining
@BornShining Жыл бұрын
My thoughts... As advanced as humans can be, they possess free will and therefore the capacity to fight for their own limitations, see themselves as less than they are. "Thoughts need somewhere to land." Positive intentions of others cannot override negative self-perceptions or deeply ingrained toxic beliefs of individuals. On the other hand, if it were easy to change people with positive intent then there would be nothing to stop those with ill intent from doing the same thing. What you describe in your question may seem like a bad thing but it's really a good thing, because it means we have the power to choose our own path despite what others wish for us. 🌹🙌🌹📯🌹

Wonderful speech. I want to point out though that Michael is still in the matrix hallucination. The idea that people are really in space, that needs to be questioned, but it's ignored as it probably will be again. And this is a sort of dissonance that refuses to think outside the boundary. Also the equivalence he gives finance to other skillsets. Finance is what has caused us the abject violence, starvation and deprivation of countless people, we cannot give it any equivalence to advancing. It is what fueled the dystopia. It might be nice to have a Findhorn, but half of the world still hasn't got sanitation, and many more ills. We need to know the cause of these malfunctions but that is entirely overlooked. Thus we will keep generating as much dysfunction because we have been unwittingly generating and regenerating the "spirit" or manifestation of lack, deficiency and entropy. When if we had a money system that supported abundance, sovereignty, and synergy, we wouldn't feel like we do in this paradigm, like we have got to push rocks uphill. With synergy, the energy is available because it always creates more energy, it doesn't deplete energy, like this paradigm does. I think many people miss this concept entirely and thus continue on the same treadmill only with nicer windows.

His theory that giving plants positivity and love will help them grow is interesting, but I think the excess carbon dioxide the plant gets from being talked to by a human-our exhale- may positively impact its growth. That sounds more plausible than growth from loving thoughts. If this is controlled for, I would be open to entertaining the loving thought idea.

Yes I wonder the effects of the plant being 'talked to' with hateful intent. If it's simply the act of exhaling that produces better growth, then the results would surely be the same as loving words. Perhaps this is why ignoring the plant is used instead.

its not a theory its observable, its about your intentions with your words and the energy behind it. its simple af to test this, just breathe on the plant instead of speaking to it

So there was this guy telling you something you already knew anyway, as it‘s plain clear you want to see your father before he passes away, and you name him, his profession and work, but you refer to the one who gave you her car, covered the bill and made it possible for you to go and talk to your father one last time as “a woman to your left”. Really?! She was the one who only made it possible and you don’t even bother remembering her name?! Or her profession and work?! You may want to check whether you have the open heart and some “place” where the thoughts “can land” you triggered with your - most likely even completely unconscious - behavior. What does the way you refer to “this woman” you owe so much more than this book-guy with his redundant advice, say about you?! I really hope you can hear these thoughts.
