Hi Jennifer! My appreciation for toe up is aligned with not running out of yarn before the toe is completed! Good video! Thank you….

I love afterthought heel fit on me. However, I do a forethought afterthought heel. IOW, I cast on extra stitches to make the heel, working to the "point" of the heel. Then I work the ankle and leg. Have fun!!

Thank you for the extra tip, Karen! I'm not sure my brain can work through it right now, but the Internet has magic and I can find some images/video. 😊

Have you heard of a fleegle heel? It is a great toe up sock heel with no picking up stitches and I have had no hole issues.

Oo, no, I haven't! I do sorta want to keep up with sock knitting in the background so I'll look. Thanks kristal! 😊

@@ExpertlyDyed Honestly I have a laundry list of heels , cast ons , cast off, toe up , top down , even a sideways pattern. Two needle socks. Two different ways to knit socks at the same time on the same needle. Socks are the whole reason I learned to knit.

@kristal burns I recently learned that sideways sock patterns existed thanks to discovery on Pinterest 😂 For me, it was about mitts and mittens because I always have cold hands. Scarves too. Mittens motivated me to learn to knit.
